WOW, That is so fantastic. Way to show off too, doing Man push-ups for her.

That has to make you feel really GOOD to be able to do that.
You deserve every bit of the praise, YOU did it!!

I agree... I guess I never looked at it that way. My ex was also emotionally abusive, and I never understood just how bad it was until I was out of that situation. But let me tell you... I'm never going back! lol...

As much as I might complain sometimes I'm really glad to have my hubby. He's a great guy..definitely learned it from his father who also wonderful. Ahh :sigh:

I've actually been looking at jobs today because hubby wants a new job. The one he's in right now, he's basically a "supervisor" and is doing half the work the managers are supposed to do, for half the pay. So, he's trying to get something better. I found 5-10 jobs he's qualified for, a couple that pay almost twice as much as he's making, which would be great.

Quite a few are management jobs (Wal-Mart, Toys 'R Us, Dollar General) but also a few bank teller positions and senior assisted living... all of which he'd do well in since he's such a people person and a hard worker. Everyone loves him.. LOL

Ah well..just sharing the latest news in my life. Maybe I'll go do a workout now.. or clean... ahhh such choices LOL

Good luck, Joy
I know it is frustrating when you are doing the work of your "boss" and don't get the pay and most the time not even the Recognition.

More money is alway a good thing

Thanks. He has a pretty strong resume since he had management experience before this job. This job was kind of the first available job when we moved.. so he took it, of course. Plus once he gets called in for an interview he always does well.. so as long as his resume impresses them enough he has a pretty solid chance.

The senior living thing would be good for him, because I'm sure he'd get along with the residents. Although Toys 'R Us sounds pretty awesome too Haha.. hopefully all will go well. I know he wants out of retail though... He quit school one year short of getting his degree (his mom had a stroke, and he had a bit of an identity crisis, plus running out of money) so now he's kind of stuck, and he doesn't want to finish until after I've gotten my degree because we figure I'll make more money when I finish (I'm doing architecture, he wants to teach english) but maybe if he gets a position that pays well he can be convinced to take a class or so a semester and finish his degree, too.. I don't worry about that too much, though. If that's what he wants to do, I can't change his mind.

The money is a big thing because I know we've quite a bit of debt (about $1500) that's going no where, and I'd like to get rid of it ASAP.

Hey guys!
Well I kind of did good today, and I kind of didn't do good...

I started off real well. I did my morning yoga. I cleaned the house. Did laundry. Then I headed out to the pool to tan. I spent a little bit longer out there then I planed to. 2 hours actually. I then came in, took a shower, and watched the Tyra Banks show. It was over Obese children. There was one 13 year old girl on there that was almost 300 pounds!!! It was crazy!

My sister called right at the end of the show and I started talking to her. Well time always flies when we talk cause we usually only talk once a month or less, so we've always got a lot to ketch up on. Anyways it got to be 4:45, 15 minutes before Billy was suppose to be home and he sent me a text message. I didn't answer and then he started calling. So I answered and he said that some sales guys that came to his work today was wanting to take people out for dinner and invited him. So he asked if I wanted to go. I said sure. I only had 10 minutes to get ready. Lol... So I did the best I could.

I should have said no because I didn't need to be eating out. But the dinner I had wasn't that bad for me (I think) We went to an Irish Pub. I did have too much. I knew it was over 1 portion... But I didn't have any snacks today. lol... Anyways my meal was grilled chicken with Balsamic vinegar over it. It came with mash potatoes, and broccoli. The mash potatoes were the best I've ever had!!! The whole meal was AWESOME!!! I hope it wasn't to high in calories. And I drank water with my meal.

We made it back home at 7:30, and I was so tired. Billy didn't want to go to the gym so I told him I'd go by myself. By that time I looked like a red lobster from my 2 hours of tanning. Billy started calling me Robster. I always feel sick when I get burned, so needless to say I wasn't feeling good at all. I layed down on the bed and took a 30 minute nap. Billy woke me up at 8:00 and told me he'd go to the gym with me. By that time I didn't even want to go. But he wouldn't take no for an answer. So we got ready and headed to the gym.

We went on the AMT for 1 mile, and then we got on the stationary bike for 2 miles. I really wasn't feeling good, and Billy wasn't either cause he had 2 beers when we went to dinner. So we decided we'd go home. Some exercise is better than none right? So we exercised for 41 minutes. And I burned 283 calories...

I can't wait for dinner tomorrow! I'm going to cook chicken pot pie! I love home made chicken pot pie!!! But Billy doesn't like it very much so I don't cook it very often. I think it's mainly because he doesn't like veggies and I always put a lot of veggies in mine. You know he didn't even eat any of his broccoli!!! I can't believe him! I thought about stealing it from him, but I didn't want to look like a pig in front of the group. lol... And plus I was full and didn't need to stuff anymore than what I already was.

Oh! Today is mine and Billy's 1 year living together anniversary!!! Today we have officially lived together for exactly 1 year! YAY!!!
August 19th will be our 4 year anniversary for dating.

JESSICA!!!!!!
What did I say about the sun????

What is your middle name? I would have used that too IF I knew it!
JESSICA ANN sounds good to me, LOL

I hope you have some aloe at home that helps cool it and heal the burn.

The only thing that sound like it would have been "bad" is the mash potatoes, especially if they use cream to make them. I LOVE mashed potatoes so I am sure I would have eaten every last morsel if they were that good,

Now, really you need to be careful in the sun. I say this from experience. 30 years ago they did not know as much about how bad the sun was for you. I have scaring on my chest from laying and falling to sleep one time. I have to be careful now because that skin is susceptible to skin cancer. I just don't want you to have to go through the same thing. I got burned several times in my teens and bad a few times that last time (I was 20) was all my skin could take. Now even when I do get tanned my upper chest is splotchy because of the damage.

Take of your WHOLE self

I know it is hard because I have always said that fat tan skin looks better than fat white skin.
Now I use the lotion that gradually turns your skin tan over a week or so (at least on my legs). It doesn't look yellow/orange like the old stuff and gives enough color that I feel ok about wearing my summer dresses.

hahaha, Sheryl...my instincts were to also give jessica some motherly advice too. I tried to get tan as a young person all the time and it does make me look older, i think. I went to see a dr one time for an asthma check up and he was furious as I was sunburned on my face and upper body. He lectured me and told me that I was going to ruin myself.

This has been the weirdest, most stressful few days in a long time of my life! i am just trying to deal and cope with everything. i can't go into a lot of details as it's complicated and drawn out but it's been hell! There is good tho too in the hell. My daughter is graduating next week (stress) and we are hoping my mom will be here but I have to drive over there to San Diego, and then bring her back in one day. i have been dizzy as heck. i was diagnosed in December with some inner ear thing and this is going to be a part of me getting older. My daughter is being recognized at the school board meeting too for her great job in her medical assisting program. I have lots to do in the next two weeks to keep us busy and walks have been hard to find time for, as is sleep. just so stressed out i can't sleep much.
