Smile 20 day challenge!

I know that 20 days is short, but hopefully it will develop into something
further!

My hope is to lose 4 pounds in 20 days, or about 3 weeks. Working out and eating well is the goal. If anyone would like to join me Ill be checking in on everyone day to day of this challenge! Good luck all.

-Stevie

4 lbs would be a good goal for me too. About how long do you guys workout per day? Sometimes I feel like I should be doing more because other than my workouts I don't really get in a lot of movement throughout the day. My internship is a desk job and then afterwards I usually just feel like hanging out and watching a movie. What do you girls think? Increase the exercise routine?

Welcome to both of you! Mandy: I would say just increase your walking distance anytime you can. If there are stairs be sure to take them. Park further away etc... Also, I read that just simply keeping things out of reach from your desk to where you have to get up to get them helps tremendously!

Today was a really hard day for me, and I am so happy to say that Day 1 is not complete! 19 days left ladies!
Tobey: 7-8 pounds sounds great! Lets hope we can all reach that. Good luck!

Its time for sleep here gals, talk to you tomorrow!

Hola, just found this a little earlier but i guess i could join. so were ending the 24th?
my weigh in is also typically monday mornings so i might weigh in for my final weigh the 25th i tend to be gone during the weekend and have no access to a scale.
Ill set my goal to... hmm well id like to shoot for 6 lbs, i think thats a little high, but ill shoot for that. i more expect to see 3-4.

i just weighed in yesterday at 188 so that will put be beyond my mini goal of 185, and set me at 182 if i can beat 6lbs.

Ive been working out every day the last month, eaten within my range every day for the last month... wonder what i could add to help my odds?

Welcome Jacqueline! Sounds like your off to the right start. If you have anywhere to walk, take the opportunity and walk. Walk with your shoulders back and try and tighten your abs. If you are not noticing any difference with your eating, try cutting corners to avoid high fat food. If you are having a 2000 calorie a day diet, cut back to 1700 or so.. I cut down to about 1300 and am finding difference.

Hope this all helps! Gooooooooodmorning ladies

Welcome! You're doing so great! You've lost 2 lbs a week in the past month and that's the healthy way to lose weight. Anymore than that and you run the risk of putting it right back on. I would suggest not changing anything. If you start not losing weight, then I would mix some stuff up. Strength training is always good to add in though, if you don't do that already.

I am re-thinking my goal for this challenge. I plan to step up my exercise to include cardio (besides 60 walking) and more strength training but when figuring in everything I forgot that finals are next week and I don't know how exercise will go. SO I am going to say between 5-7 pounds.

Hope everyone is doing well!
