DEFEAT THE TREATS Challenge!
Christmas and New Year's are over, and if you are like me, all that resisting treats and temptation has worn you out! There are still cookies, treats, and other temptations all around, and for a lot of people, giving in to just one ends up setting off a bad eating streak.
I wanted to start this DEFEAT THE TREATS challenge for those of us with sweet teeth (I definitely have more than just one sweet tooth!) who need some accountability and friendly competition to resist junk food and sweets, and stay on track!
Here's how it will work.
The challenge will run for one week at a time, from Sunday through Saturday (except this first week, since I just thought of it, which will run from Wednesday the 7th through Saturday the 10th).
* Give yourself 10 points for each day that you resist junk food, temptations, and spontaneous treats! (Small treats that are planned and worked reasonably into your daily calories are okay. We're not going for zero pleasure here!)
* Deduct 20 points for each day that you give in to temptations!
* As a bonus and a way to redeem yourself, give yourself 5 points for every 10 minutes of cardio or weight training exercise each day.
You can post your points daily, if you like, but make sure to at least post your weekly points total by the following Monday. The person with the most points at the end of each week is the Treat Defeater!
Ha ha. Silly but fun, I hope! Hope you join me! The challenge starts tomorrow (Wednesday, January 7th)!
