I am up for the challenge. This is a "no sweet week" at our house but I find myself reaching for the other snacks to replace the sweets. I hope this will motivate me.

The kids always eat treats over there anyway, and my little brother (only 17) will probably help finish them off, too, so there will be LESS for ME to worry about!! (He's SKINNY and plays basketball, so he can handle a few extra goodies; don't worry, I'm not trying to hurt him!!) LOL
Way to go girl!!! You're off to a GREAT start

OMG, So I haven't had any sweet treats today, but.... My "monthly visitor" arrived today, and brought along a ravishing appetite! I've had raisins and strawberries for snacks, and ate a sanwich AND a bowl of soup for lunch... and it's not even NOON yet! (And I still feel like I could eat some more....) I'm going to HAVE to hit the gym for a kick-butt workout today!!

So I went a little off (my) plan today but not sure if it counts as a "treat cheat" or not.

Basically I'm supposed to eat a protein and carb for breakfast. I slept through two alarms this morning and didn't have time to cook. So I hit McDonalds on the way to work - yuck I know. I got a chicken biscuit and a coffee. I ate the chicken only. It was breaded and obviously fried so I figured I was getting the protein/carb thing ok. With some added salt and fat of course, but I was sooo hungry and knew if I waited till I got to work I'd really overeat on bad stuff. Work is the worst as far as that goes. Muffins/bagels/cookies/etc.

So I guess my question is...should I take a minus 20 on today or not? I mean it was kinda a cheat and definitely not in the plan for the day, but it wasn't a sweet treat sooo??? Let me know. I just want to play fair.

Sandy and Heather, I've added you to our list of participants! Welcome!

Rebecca, are you in? I added you to the list already (on the first page of this thread) but wasn't sure you wanted to join. You are welcome to if you would like to!

Jenn, I'd say no, don't deduct the points because you were smart enough to remove the biscuit (where a lot of the fat is, I would think) and tried to salvage it into a healthier choice. If you went through drive through and scarfed down a Big Mac and supersized fries, yes, definitely deduct the points! But the point here is to avoid the spontaneous junk food and sweets and temptations that are really there all the time. You did a good job eating only the chicken!

Gotcha MJ. Thanks.

MD's fries are a weakness for me. If I don't go there and I'm not around them I'm fine, but, oh boy...if they are around...WATCH OUT! LOL.

Good thing they don't sell them in the morning...teehee...
