Lightbulb HEARTBREAKERS #37 You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.

Welcome Heartbreakers to a new week! We came in 2nd this week. How wonderful!!

We were being kept down....by what?!

OURSELVES! Its time...it is past time for us to stand up & tell the truth. We eat too much. Not only do we eat too much, but we eat too much of the wrong things. How long do you want to drown yourself? No one is holding our mouths open saying " You WILL eat this pizza".....You see my friends, I raise my hand right along with some of you. Oh its ok...a couple of slices won't hurt. No...not until Saturday..Sunday..and its time to weigh in. Oh I believe a little treat now & then won't hurt you. In fact the experts say its good for you to have it. BUT do most of us truly stop there? No...we let that same voice sneak in during the week and tempt us into something else.

What can we do? Plan our meals. Stick to it. Record every morsel of food and drink that comes into your mouth. Learn from our mistakes and bad habits. Change the course of our lives. Only YOU have that power over yourself.

So what are YOU gonna do this week? Are you gonna fall in the water? Dont plan to....but if you do...Are you gonna let yourself drown?

Angela: I am so sorry to hear about your tooth. I know it sucks. Hang in there and get to the dentist as soon as you can. *hug*

Good afternoon Heartbreakers My goals for this week are:

Water water water

Do some sort of exercise everyday (this includes those dreaded sit ups!)

Bike ride as much as I can instead of driving (I live two minutes from the boys school and three minutes from church there's no excuse here girls)

Keep up the motivation!

I have a question for those who keep a food journal. Do you carry around a little notebook and just write everything down?? What do you do with the information at the end of the day? Do you not eat something bad because you don't want to write it down? I might add a journal to my list of goals. Not sure...

Thumbs up Re: HEARTBREAKERS #37 You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.

My goals for the week!
Journal my food
Water, water, water
take my vitamins and supplements
excercise every day
Stop Making Excuses
Support my buddies!

Hope you all have a great week!
Big HUGS!

As for my food journal I have used the journal on here and I have carried the note book around. I usually journal my food before I eat it. I find I do much better when I plan ahead!

Cynthia,
I've found I have the most success when I journal. I haven't been doing it and I've just been hovering in the same spot. It makes you think "Do I really want to eat this?" because you're spending all those valuable calories on it.

I only lost big this week because my body is trying to get rid of this bug

Thanks for the journal information. I just journaled todays food but not everything I had was on the list and I didn't have the easiest time creating my own. I guess it will get easier once I know what I'm doing...

Cynthia, I never liked the one on buddyslim.. I usually just wrote it out in a notebook or even in my blog...

It gets easier the more you do it, because you tend to eat the same things, so you learn the values on some of them... or can just look it up in your journal

I am with Joy on that. I use a little notebook. If I am actually writing everything down, I do great. Its all the times that I get lazy and dont write it down that I eat way too much. Its just me looking at what the alloted calories are for the day and how I am choosing to use them that keeps me in line.

Angela - I feel your pain. Your tooth pain. I have 2 cracked wisdom teeth that are coming out Tuesday. Look at it this way - anytime you get dental work done, you're looking at a one day minimum of sipping broth. Which means our weight loss for the next week should be great! I'm looking for a silver lining b/c I can't deal with pain very well - and I'll be spending the majority of the week on codene. Hooray. Hope you get that taken care of quickly!
