Yesterday my blog consisted of my goals for the week! I am hoping this will hold me more accountable. I have decided to also go back to my written journal instead of the one on here. I am also going to walk at least 60 minutes each day even if I have to break it down into 2 or 3 smaller walks. I have done 20 this a.m. I have to do indoor walking as it is still dark when I leave in the morning.
I hope you all have a great week!

I got up and exercised this morning, it was a short work out due to lack of time (I'm scheduled an hour and a half earlier than usual at work) but I'm hoping to do another walk this evening. Have a great day everyone!!

I use one page for each day and I don't carry it around with me. I usually find time in the morning to plan out my meals for the day. Staying within my points allowance is much easier that way. (and if I change anything, it's such a pain in the butt ... so I find myself thinking twice before I add anything. I also write in the journal how much exercise, what kind...how my day is going. Even my weight and measurements. I kind of like going back to last year and checking out my old numbers. I know that having a "Piggy Bank" I will be even more successful. I was thinking of having something at coffee hour after church, but I sure didn't want to have to pay a dollar if I went over points at the end of the day. I want that bank stuffed when I reach my goal weight! Tiffany, you said; "I believe a little treat now & then won't hurt you. In fact the experts say its good for you to have it. BUT do most of us truly stop there? No...we let that same voice sneak in during the week and tempt us into something else." I can NOT do that. If I allow myself a little treat I usually don't stop. (and I hate having to kick my own butt, too much like exercise) lol It's like telling an alcoholic it's OK to have one drink. I wish I wasn't like that, but I know me pretty well by now, and I can't be trusted. Not that I have given up on treats altogether, but they have to be pre-planned and counted into the days allowance. No spur of the moment "just this once won't hurt". I guess the secret is to 'know thyself, and to thine own self be true'. Well, I'm almost done here, but I have one moment of joy to share. While I was changing my clothes after church John came in and told me to come outside, very quietly and not let the dogs come with me. I stepped out the door and there were three wild turkeys going down the drive. A big handsome Tom and his wife and a smaller one that I'm pretty sure was their youngster. Such pretty birds. I hope no one gets them for Thanksgiving Dinner.

EXACTLY SANDY!!! Because of the way we all are (I think we are all like you) We have to plan everything. Otherwise we wind up listening to that little voice and it gets us into trouble.

Good morning Heartbreakers!!!

Julie: I love your Halloween pics. They are too adorable.

Cynthia & Sandy: You are both very right about the sweets & treats. We really do have to write them into our calorie counts or points. I thought about that last night. In order to stay on track, we have to schedule it.

Morning gang Well, I just made the first entry in my nice new journal. I really think this is going to help. I'm going to have my hubby measure me later and put that in there as well. Today is major house cleaning day and I plan on getting in a good bike ride with Gumbo dog. I spelled bike ride earlier and her ears perked up~ ha ha Does anyone know how long should I be biking to make it count??

Ha ha...my dogs can spell too. They can spell {{{shhhh}}} walk and treat. As for how long to bike, anything that's more than you did last week, is enough. Just keep pushing yourself to do 'a little more'. I do it walking, call it baby steps. I don't know what you call it on a bike. ps...major house cleaning is exercise! Yay!

Hi Heartbreakers...

I am new and not sure if there is a rule on how many challenges you are allowed to join? I would love to join your group if it's not to late. I need a challenge to keep me going, just doing it for me alone doesn't motivate me enough.

Thanks!

Cynthia jus another thing to add onto the journaling idea--

I've read that if you don't keep track of what you are eating, you're normally eating 500-1000 more calories than you think you are.
