Congrats Cynthia. My hubby's b-day is in less than a week and I'm terrified of baking his cake I'm thinking of making a chocolate cake and putting some mint chocolate candies in it because he loooves mint chocolate stuff..so we'll see.. :\
On my husband's birthday I went to the bakery and bought a big slice of his favorite multi-layered chocolate cake. They sell it that way....yes indeed. I never knew that! He gave me a bite.... it was sort of like our wedding, you know how the groom gives you a bite of his cake, and no he didn't smash it in my face.....lol He had his cake and ice cream and I had my taste of success! I also had a ww choc cake dessert.

Yum! We didn't smash it in each others faces at our wedding.. But we had a party later for his family that couldn't come, and I was feeling sick when we cut the cake (I had a low down country broil for the first time WITH shrimp when I don't like seafood!) So I wasn't going to eat any.. and I took that opportunity to smear 'im!

I think I'll do okay if I make a mint chocolate cake because I'm not as much as a fanatic. Plus if we go over to his parents I'll just take the cake and Lord knows his skinny siblings will eat it-- LOL

His sister is 20 and barely 110 lbs Can you say jealous?

Jealous shouldn't even be in your vocabulary! I notice your hubby didn't marry a 110 pounder.........

I've decided my extra money (okay, like Sandy my goal is NOT to have extra) but in Mobile there is this nation wide ministry, The Refugee Resettlement Program. They take families who are living ALL over our globe in refugee camps for years and years do to all types of terrible stories. These are folks like you and me who once had a home, job, church, kids in school etc... Well, they bring families over after extensive interviewing and provide them with a home (decorated with volunteer help and donations), jobs, ESL classes, drivers ed., mentorship, you get the idea.

Anyway, I know I'm rambling about this but, what a wonderful mission!! I know there are tons of great programs out there providing outreach and this is one of them

I know the Piggy Bank sounds sort of silly, but you can't believe what a difference it's made to me. I am determined that my little piggy's first meal will be a ten dollar bill. I know exactly what I'm doing with mine when I get to goal. New clothes for granny! And NOT from the Goodwill store. That's where I've been shopping lately, because I know they will be too big eventually. I've already taken two big loads of clothes back to them... now that's what I call recycling. My daughter's always kidding me when we go there.....she says we're going to visit our old clothes.

HI everyone,
I am home and trying to relax tonight. I have had a long week and I am glad that it is over. I just wish that next week wasn't the week from he--!
My hopes for the weekend are to get some relaxing in and read my new book. I have a few things to do for school, but not many. However I do have normal household things to get done this weekend, like laundry and stuff. I hope to get some relaxing in there somewhere.
I will weigh in tomorrow morning and let you all know how I did. Thank you for letting me know what the piggy bank thing was, I think I might try that.

This is a great idea too. You save money by constantly recycling your clothes. I love it.

IN for my weigh in today. Loss of 1.5. A little slow this week but that is alright because I know the lower I get, the slower although I wish it wouldnot. As long as it is a loss. Taking the kids out for dinner tonight. Everyone is gone except for us and I have both kids late because of their classes so figured I would do them well. I will just get a salad sans dresssing and add eggs and pototoe in for carb and protein. Things are goingw ell and still hungering to put a 13 in front of the number

Sandy, great idea on just getting a slice of cake and not the whole cake. I have little ones so that isn't an option but lucky for me, I rmemeber how much icing hates me and don't indulge.
Rachel
