Happy Friday Morning Ladies! How are we all doing today? I looked over the other forum before I set this one up and it looks like everyone is doing well.

Betsy...where are you at with your water? Something that I found has helped me the past two weeks is that I make myself get in at least 16 oz of water before I have my coffee. Since then I have cut the coffee back from 2 cups to 1/2 cup as of this morning. Just a thought.

Miriam, don't worry about the gain...you get get through it and have a loss next week. Like I tell my daughter, if you don't lose a game every now and then it doesn't make winning as sweet. Same here, if you don't hit a road block every now and then the success isn't as great.

My accountability for yesterday:
Breakfast: Cinnamon toast crunch and 1/4 cup of milk
Lunch: tuna sandwhich on whole wheat
Supper: roast beef leftovers with mashed potatoes and corn
Snacks: Grapes & angel food cake

Water, vitamin, and team challenges were all good

My goals for the week:

You know what? I was going to post the goals that I always post, but then I realized that I never go back and look at them to remind me. Soo....this week I'm going to post daily goals. (Nancy would call those mini mini goals I think)

So my goals for today:
1 gallon of water
1300 calories
2 sets of team challenges
help a friend unpack for at least 2 hours

I think that will be it for the day.

32 oz of water down...96 to go

Anj, it's scary because I started doing that due to the water challenge from last week. I try to get my first bottle in before doing anything else. Great minds think alike right?

I like the forum title - MORE WATER AND LESS SALT, and I may add sugar.

I agree with this. You know, this morning as I was packing food for work, I looked in the pantry and saw a box of cookies. For once I wasn't tempted. Go figure. I think it's because I cut back so much on simple carbs and eating more complex carbs that my body doesn't crave it.


My goals for this week:
-Be a great buddy. Read all of my buddy blogs and support them as much as I can.
-Less sugar, less salt
-More sleep (I blame this on Rodney for keeping me up all night, well we have fun so it's worth it)
-Relax more
-Lose 1 lb (fingers crossed)
-Keep up with my exercise
-NO grazing - I failed last week, and last night.

Recipe: Orange dream

Dietitian's tip: Whip up this frothy cooler in minutes — it tastes like an old-fashioned Creamsicle. For best results, start with ice-cold soy milk and use freshly squeezed orange juice. Creamy, custard-like silken tofu adds extra body. For additional calcium, use calcium-fortified orange juice.

SERVES 4
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups orange juice, chilled
1 cup light vanilla soy milk (soya milk), chilled
1/3 cup silken or soft tofu
1 tablespoon dark honey
1 teaspoon grated orange zest
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
5 ice cubes
4 peeled orange segments



Directions
In a blender, combine the orange juice, soy milk, tofu, honey, orange zest, vanilla and ice cubes. Blend until smooth and frothy, about 30 seconds.

Pour into tall, chilled glasses and garnish each glass with an orange segment.

Anj, I like your ideas about posting daily goals- I think I might mix it up a little: Here are my actual weekly goals

96 oz water daily
Exercise 5-6 days
Stay OP 6 days
Lose 1 pound

And here are todays goals:
Exercise- CHECK did 2 mi WATP plus will do 2 10 min walks
B- Oatmeal bar- 4pts CHECK
96 oz water
L- Pizza (friend is buying and bringing to me for a treat today!)
D- Salad
S- Yogurt- 1pt Apple w/pb- 2pts

So there are my weekly and daily goals! Have a great Friday!
