I'm on board... my 2 biggies are the same as Isabelle's, which is what I deal with in trying to conquer binge eating. Being force fed as a child, I eventualy learned to eat WAY past being not hungry, WAY past being full... and at some point in my late teens/early 20's I learned to deal with most emotions with food, now I need to unlearn...

I'm an UN do-it-yourself project!

We need a name, right? How about the S.L.I.E. (Self Love Intuitive Eating) Team?

Welcome on board Melissa and Tina! What do you think about brainstorming for a name for one week, listing what we have and then finding a concensus (sp). ? We can put S.L.I.E. at the top.

Thanks everyone. I am off to sleep. I have a big, crazy day tomorrow...which is actually today. Ack! Self-love....sleep

I like a good sense of humor, Tina.

My self-love for the day was ...

1) I helped myself go to sleep last night by winding down with a night time CD, aromatherapy and making my bedroom feel restful.

2) I did a lot of self-talk about the anxiety I felt off and on through out the day when I had a lot of responsibilities that were new.

3) I took advantage of down time to do stress management breathing.

4) Drank lots of water.

5) Ate a good breakfast (among other things)

6) Wore a new pair of shoes that made me HAPPY.

7) Checked in here for support.

8) Getting to bed before midnight.

Well, I would love to hear anything you might have don't to take care of yourself, or which you are considering doing to take care of yourself. And if you need help brainstorming ideas for self-care, that's what we are here for!

Thanks
Rae

You have inspired me Rae to make a goal for myself. I will do at least one thing for myself, something that I wouldn't usually do for myself, every day. I've tried it for a couple days now.

Tuesday: instead of staying up and watching a movie with the hubby, which usually ends up late and makes me tired for the next morning, I went to bed. The cool thing is, the hubby decided it was a great idea to get some sleep too! I got up the next morning bright eyed and bushy-tailed! It felt awesome.

Wednesday morning, instead of exercising, I paid all the bills and got my checkbook balanced. Sounds crazy, but when my bills are paid and my budget is in check, I'm very content.

This morning, instead of doing my usual task of laundry, I made my children a hot breakfast. That made me feel so good, and they really appreciated it! I've been smiling all day.

Lovin' myself!! Give it a try!

Super Cool Pandora! I am glad that is working out for you. I figure that while I am waiting to get a thinner body, I can enjoy the one I have. Enjoy my family, etc.

Today I got a pedicure to celebrate my 10 pound loss. I pampered myself and rewarded myself all in one!

Now I am off to slow down from a busy, but good day.

I'm still trying to come up with some "nice to me" things... and time. I read your things for inspiration... so that helps, I got some things to try.

Well, I had a car accident last Sunday so I haven't been here lately. I have been taking time to ice my back and neck, and just put my feet up since then. I think that's something for me!

We'll maybe I've been doing a bit too much intuitive eating recently. But all in great company with lots of laughter and new memories to treasure.

By the way, this isn't about intuitive eating, but it is about self-love, or letting myself have something I have wanted for a long time. I am getting a cat!!! Yay! There is something about having a pet that calms and fulfills me in a special way, and I have decided I have been finding excuses not to give myself what I really want, that somehow I didn't deserve another cat because our last cat died at the Vet's during surgery and if I hadn't agreed to the exploratory surgery to see what was causing his shortness of breath, he might still be alive. I loved our Catmandu but he died in May 2007, and it is time to open my heart to another pre-loved older cat waiting for a new chance in love. I meant to type "new chance in life", so that was a bit Freudian, but maybe true.
