Goals for the week:
* Increase walking to 2.5 miles at least 5 days.
* Increase water.
* Continue journaling food (try to get closer to daily points).
* Focus on my needs.
* Get back into daily devotional time.

Hello Rockstars! WELCOME RYAN AND SHAWNA TO THE COOLEST PLACE TO BE ON BUDDYSLIM.....THE ROCKSTARS!!! I am checking in before hubby gets on the computer. I weighed 230 today, actually 229.9 but I'll call it 230 since technically we round to the nearest 10th.

I got to talk to Tina, a BLUE teammate, on the phone, and man, do we have some similarities with our sons! It was awesome talking to someone else who's going thru what I am, but she lives over 5,000 miles away from me!

I am hoping to lose 30 pounds by Jan 1st, but I don't know if it's possible and/or healthy. But, I am gonna get it in gear and work for it. I have to pick up another rx for my sinus infection today. Now, it's in my chest and nose! It's not fun! I just wanna sleep a lot and it's been hard to get motivated all week! Still walking tho.

Hello Rockstars!

Okay... I just want to say that I absolutely Love and Loathe you! lol

I loathe you because up until I joined you, I was just skating by pretending that I was eating healthy enough, being active enough, and I realized I was gaining weight but I avoided the scale and didn't want to take responsibility for what was happening to my body. Then my cousin Jeff told me about you guys and I thought it sounded like a good idea. But you made me get on a scale! Now, I am painfully aware of just how much I have been ignoring. Before I had my son (who is going to be three next month) I was naturally skinny and had no regard... but then the body went through major changes with the whole child birth thing, then last year I slipped into the depths of depression and let me tell you depression is not to friendly to weight (at least not mine), and I am still struggling with it... so this whole weight loss thing is very foreign and hard for me.

But, I love you all for being so supportive and encouraging. It gives me much hope to know that I am not the only one who is dealing with this, and knowing I have a whole lot of you right at my fingertips for advice, encouragement, and friendship really heartens me. I don't know any of you very well (except Jeff) but I thank you for being here and for helping out other people like me who need a little help with this!

Stacey, how old is your son?

I understand what you mean Erin, and especially Jeffrey. I will get on, and be like "dang, i need to go exercise" Jeffrey is an exercise machine! as are a couple of other ROCKSTARS ....

I started depression meds Friday. I had to wait til my flex card started working. He prescribed Celexa and I am jumping out of my skin. I dont know if I like it....but I had been taking xanax for episodes of anxiety which is the equivalent of drinking without the calories, so it may be just going from the numbness of xanax to the highness of the new AD. I hate meds, but it normalizes....

My doctor said he would prescribe me medication if I wanted it, but I am trying my hardest to stay away from it. I'm doing much better now than I was a year ago. I was in a REALLY bad place then. Now, it only hits me at certian times... so I'm progressing there. And with that new med, it normally takes a while to start working and get the full effect, so you might not feel quite so jumpy in a few days, which I'm sure will be nice.
