Cool HEARTBREAKERS #29 Instead of giving myself reasons why I can't, I give myself reasons why I can.

Good afternoon all! All the teams did a wonderful job this week. We have a new week ahead of us. A new week to start fresh and envision for ourselves a brighter, happier, healthier future.


I found a new site today called healthcastle.com They have all kinds of diets geared toward health problems such as gout, ADHD, diabetes, etc... It looks like a good tool.


I hope everyone is having a fabulous Sunday. The girls & I went to church this morning. Then came home and had lunch. They have been helping me clean the house. We would normally be outside working, but right now we are in love bug season and they are absolutely HORRIBLE this year. I don't know how many states get these nasty bugs, but they are really gross. Everything outside is just covered in them. YUCK!!

what is a love bug? obviously it sounds cuter than what it really is. that is one of the nicknames I call my boys LOL

Well I just got back from the new organic grocery store... boy is it expensive. The good news? They have delicious, wholesome, organic foods. I have fresh fruits and veggies now... I am really looking forward to eating vegan for a week. It should be an interesting experiment!

A baker there gave me a 8 pack of mini vegan chocolate cupcakes to try... I brought them home and was excited to try one. I also gave one to my boyfriend, and his dad and sister were over and they tried one too. They are DELICIOUS. You'd never know they are vegan. I'm OK with having one, but I'm also glad I already shared half the pack so I don't go cupcake crazy! LOL

2/get In My Water
3/walk 2 Miles Everyday
4/no Snacking
5/be There For My Buddies

Megan- I read in the previous thread that you've read the book, "Skinny Bitch". That's also (the gall bladder removal had a lot to do with it) why I became vegetarian. That book is amazing, I lost 30 lbs after reading that book religously. Good luck on your week of vegan food! It's tough but don't give up, it'll be so worth it in the end.

Heartbreakers-

Thank you so much for the support on losing weight and on what has recently happened. I feel much better about my self and my life.

My brother is selling his elliptical so I'm thinking about buying it so I can cancel the gym membership. It's getting really expenisve AND it takes a lot to get up and go over there. I like working out in my own house more than going to a gym full of people. Maybe it's just me lol.

This morning I drank my smoothie filled with whey protein, and soy lechitin ( sp?). It had pineapple, banana, and honeydew-yummm. Of course, I took my vitamins. Vitamin: E, Super B complex, and Magnesium. I need to start taking a multivitamin.



My goals:
1. Workout everyday ( I want to see how much I can lose by Sept. 20)
2. Continue to drink my water and lemon
3. Don't let the bad stuff get to me
4. Don't discourage myself
5. Sign on atleast everyday this week for my buddies
6. Start taking a multi-vitamin

Hi all,
Sorry I have not been on here much this weekend. I am still feeling sick and today I actually feel worse than yesterday. I slept the hour in the car to my inlaws and the hour home. Mike decided to treat me to ice cream since I had enough points left for the day and he thought it might make me feel better. It was a nice thought however it didn't really make me feel any better.


I wanted to share my goals for this week. I am having a hard time with motivation and I really need to get with the program!

1) stick with the points
2) eat only what is planned for the day
3) water
4) exercise at least 4 days this week
5) log on at least once a day to get motivated and to motivate
6) loose at least 1 pound this week!

I blogged this today, in case you missed it.

Oh Lord, Deliver Me From Temptation …….
(Deliver me from the Church Potluck)

All I want to do is sing His praises! I love being in the choir. I feel so pure and good in my choir robe, and so close to Heaven in the choir loft. So why am I put to the test with a church potluck on the first day of choir practice. No way can I miss this first practice, we go over all the music that we’ll be using for the rest of the year. After being off for the summer there is so much to catch up on…. the pipes are a little rusty and some of us need a little ‘tune up’ . But a potluck is just asking for trouble. I won’t even begin to try to describe all the different dishes that were presented, a few notables were homemade mac n’ cheese with delicious, big chunks of ham…. A carrot cake with THICK frosting. (my downfall is frosting) Crackers and brie with wine, …. even Pastor Dave brought a huge chocolate pudding cake….. The weather was beautiful and the tables were set up right next to the beautiful Row River…. It was perfect. We ate ’til we were almost too full to sing. lol But we did practice for over 3 hours straight, so I figure …maybe… we used a lot of calories??? Don’t you think? And I did help carry all the binders with our music to and from the car. That had to burn some. It just wouldn’t be right if all my efforts to sing for the glory of God was rewarded with a ((gasp)) weight gain. Would it be wrong to pray for something so selfish as making my mini-goal next week? I’ll have to think about that…….
