I was just checking in before I go to sleep. I hope you all have a good night. My friend Gwen has been trying to start a group called "THE BIGGEST WINNERS". It's for those of us who have health issues to get together and talk about our struggles, strengths, tips, healthy recipes, diabetes, and things like that. If you are interested, I believe she posted something about it under weightloss back in May. I may need to start posting about it tho now to get it going, so if you know anyone with any challenges or health problems, let us know so we can all join together.

JEFFREY: I will be coming over for dessert!!! I love pumpkin anything, and I like cheesecake so this sounds devine!!!! Have a happy 4th anniversary!!!

LARA: I fall off my wagon all the time. The trick is to let it go and get back on track immediately and forget you didn't do so well. It works. Even with my plateau, I am happy I am not gaining any weight. I fell off the wagon yesterday and was determined to not go on a walk or move. Something came over me and I was able to get my half an hour walk in afterall, so it made me feel so much better! I have also heard to concentrate on our successes and not on our failures. I totally know all too well where I don't measure up, and praising the good keeps me motivated. I still don't know why food has to taste so good tho!!!

Good Evening Rockstars...checking in after a kinda crappy dinner. Roastbeef Sandwich, & French Fries. Eh, it was quick and we couldn't cook tonight. We picked up Salem, he did well with his surgurey, but when we got him home (of course AFTER the vet's closed) his eye became all puffy, somewhat red, and VERY swolen. So we were kinda scared for him....we ended up finding a vet's that was open and I called. I spoke to a Vet who said it was pretty normal and the puffieness of his eye was probaby due to a 3rd eyelid that cat's have. Anyway, due to the anestesia (spelling?) that he had his body was due to react in a weird way. Some of his parts were invoulentarily working. Luckilly for us it was just his eyelids and not his bowels! Anyway, he was pretty groggy and shaking a bit so naturally we thought more of it than what it actually was. He's doing better now, his eye has calmed down and he's beginning to act up. I am actually happy that he's acting up cause it means he's feeling like himself again.

I'm working a soccer game tomorrow (yeay work) and working at a wedding on Sunday, but I'll be around both days on here. Tonight, I am going to play with Salem a bit and watch some TV so this is it for me. Sorry to have been not on much the past day and a half, but as you can see, between the kittie and work it's been a bit hectic.

Keep on Rockin!

******DISCLAIMER****** Turn away if you dont like a rant cause i need to blow off some steam..........

Ok so if you all recall i took a second job at the beginning of the month, only to quit after two days. The reasons why i quit were simple: Too much, Didnt feel i was getting what i was hired in for, and didnt feel wanted. Well today was pay day for my two days of work and it couldn't have fell on a better day, me and amys wedding anniversary. Having paid rent and other bills with my first jobs paycheck i was going to use this other paycheck to go to the movies, buy flowers...etc. I call the office to see if i can pick up my check yet. They inform me that the checks were not there, would not be there today, they do not know when they will be there...it could be next friday for all they know. ????????WHAT!!! So i call the corporate office, im never one to just let things lie where they are. If they sent my check it is one thing, but to not even have it available is another. The corporate office informs me that the HR person likes to use the holiday weekend (and monday) to not pay workers and get that extra couple days to get her affairs straightened out. Again....WHAT!?!? am i the only one who sees a problem with this?

So i take step two: I call the Michigan Department of Labor and Wages. They explain what this company is doing is illegal and that checks need to be available on the scheduled pay day. So i call back and inform them of this new bit of info. AND THE INSULTS START FLYING. They tell me what makes me so special to get my check before anyone else? i only worked there for two days. NOBODY IS GETTING PAID! what do i want, them to write me a bad check? I tell them that their companies money problem is none of my concern that if they couldnt pay their workers then they shouldnt have hired them in the first place.

So here i sit....9:15 pm on my wedding anniversary in a world of pissed off. My emotions are in a wreck, this should have been a good day. How can they live with themselves to not pay workers in this economy?? That dinner i told everyone about earlier didnt happen....we were too depressed. I have beers in my refrigerator, so i think i might go slam them Maybe it might take my edge off alittle. This may be my longest post ever, but i needed to get it off my chest......

I'm so glad i didnt quit my stable job to go and work for that place.

Sorry I didn't make it back on here last night Rockstars. I got home around 11pm from the amusement park and was tired, and not feeling too well. When I was a kid/teenager I could go on any ride no matter what, nothing effected/affected the way I felt after a ride, spinning, twisting, whatever, didn't matter. Well, for about 5 years now I've had some issue with rides that spin (even like the Tilt-A-Whirl). They just hit my stomach in a not so nice way (weird, cause I was immune to it as a kid). Anyway, for the past 5 years I've just stayed away from those kind of rides. I'm still all about the roller coasters and pirate ships and things like that, just don't spin me. (I think it was on EPCOT'S "Mission to Mars" ride or whatever they call it that ruined me....anyway, I digress...so last night we went on this ride called the Extreme Frisbee (yeah, the name indicates that is spins...ya think!)

Canobie Lake Park there's a link if you want to see a video of what this ride does. Anyway, after eating a burger and having a Sprite, umm...maybe it wasn't such a good idea to go on. I didn't get sick, but boy was I close. To top it off, my cell phone popped out of my pocket during the ride. LUCKILLY it got stuck behind me and I didn't loose it, but all in all, that whole part of the day, not such a good idea! (haha). We did have a lot of fun though, and the other couple we went with had fun too.

Last night on the way home I remembered I have to work today! YIKES, what a bad time to remember that. Anyway, I'm working for UCONN Football and that stadium is a 2 hour drive for me. I have to leave at 11am and won't be back until well after midnight so this will be my only post today. Sorry!

I hope everybody has a good day. Tomorrow is busy for us, we have to take Salem to the doc's at 8am to get neutered (poor little guy, loosing his little guys) but hopefully that's gonna calm him down a bit (that's what Renee' says anyway, but I think she says that just to make me calm about the whole process of what we are doing to him)...then we have a 10am doc's appointment again for ourselves to talk more about the fertility thing and what steps we will be taking in the next month or so. I have to pick up my suit from the drycleaners cause I am working at a wedding on Sunday (first time working at a wedding, this should be interesting), and then we've gutta go back and pick up Salem. So I probably won't make it on here til tomorrow night, but I'll be thinking of you guys!

Keep on Rockin' everybody!!!!
Very sad what age does to us...lol...getting too old for the rides. I love the rollercoasters too...my favorite. I'll try almost anything once...lol..you can take that however you want...LOL

How is baby boy doing after having his boyhood cut? Poor little guy.

Hope everything went well with you and Renee at the doc also.
