Rockstars!! Oh how i've missed you guys! I have had a busy busy busy last few weeks. I cant even remember if I ever told you guys that i got a kindergarten teaching job!! started on the 4th day of school. then last week we decided to move to a larger house...and i did that this weekend with the help of my bro in law. jake is in hungary...so he has a new house to come home to. everything is busy busy busy. our internet just got hooked up today, and i PROMISE PROMISE PROMISE THAT I WILL BE ON HERE MORE OFTEN AND THAT i WILL A STRONGER LEADER! Howdy Rockstars...I really love all the "What Being a Rockstar Means to You" responses. Sounds like a few of the team are having some hard times. If anyone needs to talk I'm here for you...doesn't have to be about weight loss, but anything. Thats what friends are for.

I've had a rough day today...I woke up this morning about 1:30 to my poor little Lily whining so I did the normal...picked her up and put her in my bed. We finally got up at 7:20...normally my alarm goes off and I lay with her for a few minutes talking or smiling at each other...she's so cute. Well this morning I woke up to my little ones eyes being bright red and very puffy. I touched her on her belly...just to comfort her some and she yells at me. I made a doc appointment for her...my mom took her down...found out Lily has pink eye in both eyes and an ear infection. At the same time she acts like she's getting a new tooth. Poor little girl is only 1...can we slow down a little...lol

Well Rockstars...I'm heading to bed...I need all the beauty rest I can get...LOL

Congrats on the new teaching job. I know you were worried for a little while. Did you pass the test you had to take? Are you all moved in now...nothing else to do but unpack? Glad to see you around...take it easy and don't be a stranger.

I am still getting small loads from the other house. dont really have very much left. i have to take that test on sept 6th, so as soon as i get unpacked...it is the next thing i have to focus on!

WOW are we a busy busy group or what!? I love it! I have confirmation that I get my treadmill this weekend (WOOHOO!!) so now i just hafta get my house back in order form last weekend (in Reno) and the coming up weekend (fmaily visiting) and things should be settled. by the time family leaves, we will be in our new office at work.

did i mention this is my NEW job and i am working virtually ALONE on moving day? one other office girl will be there half-day (at the old office, directing movers) , the second one has vacation. just mind-boggling. but pretty soon everything will mellow back down and it will all be good.

i still need to go pop balloons so i can clean the living room finally (make room for the treadmill ) and shower and watch a movie with the hubby while we fold laundry. I think its manageable... i think.

went to the store and got my fruit for work. so that makes a whole wheat bagel breakfast, organic beans/cheese/rice burrito and baked lays for lunch, plus fruit, almonds and granola bars for snacks. and three bottles of water per day. at least. so i think i have got that down. need to work again on the midnight snacking. and maybe upping the daily water if i can handle it. adding a treadmill to my evening will probably make that an easy one though.

Good Thursday Morning EVeryone!

ALLY: Good for you!!!! Once you get all settled, sounds like everything will be going very well for you! That was really good news and I love good news!!!!

Also HEATHER....things sound like they are going extremely well for you too! I wish I had a job too!

Yesterday, my son had a psychiatry appointment to get his ADHD meds. The Dr is a big guy, probably weighing about 300 or more. Anyhow, I insist that they take my son's blood pressure and weigh him. He's been weighing 286, and his BP has been okay but when they tested his cholesterol it was 512, and has been high for a few years. So, we've been watching it. My son's BP was high. So, the psychiatrist starts lecturing my son on exercising and that he needs to exercise and cut out carbs. I shared with him what I am doing and told him it is working and I am trying to be an example for my son. The dr said that Adam had lost 10 pounds since last month, so he needs to keep at it.

Anyhow, my son is completely against eating anything but carbs! I don't know what I am going to do either. I hear tough love stories, which is probably the way I am gonna go and just buy the stuff I eat, on my diet and then the whole household will be eating it too. I have let him eat pasta a lot as it was easy, but now the pasta and breads are killing him. So, I guess it will be he will have to eat what I serve or he won't eat anything. He'll surely lose weight then and then of course, he will get so hungry he will try new things. So, this is something I am going to need a lot of support on, and I will have to get a lot of ideas on, etc. He's seeing an endocrinologist on the 12th of September and I am sure I will be getting a lot of info to help him then too.

So, the one thing I am actually grateful for is that he has to walk all over the campus at school, which is a great workout for him, and he has PE where they do a lot of cardio, and he's finally getting out of his "emotionally disturbed" structured learning. He's making friends and becoming so independent.

So, we get to back to school night, and his first period teacher tells me that Adam is having some problems and he may be getting put back into the STEP class, for emotionally disturbed kids. I was heartbroken and in disbelief! He graduated the program last year and turned completely around, and won awards at the end of school year. Now, they want to put him back into a one room class where he stays there all day, and gets virtually no exercise, and NO INTERACTION at all with anyone but the few kids in there with emotional problems. Adam just wants to be like a normal 15 year old. So, I talked to him and told him that he really has to try and show his best side so he can stay out of it, but if he has to go back into it, we will deal with it. He does not think he's having enough problems to warrant going back into that class!!! I am pretty concerned about it! I have been calling his counselor for 2 weeks and she never calls me back, and I guess now I am really going to call her every hour, whatever it takes. I need to know what they are planning on doing to my son and why. I think to put him in there will be crushing his spirit and we will be backsliding. Anyhow, I am saddened by all of this and I do hope to find out more today about why they are considering these drastic measures. Sorry to burden you all with my problems!

Good Morning Rockstars!!!

Sorry I didn't make it back on here last night Rockstars. I got home around 11pm from the amusement park and was tired, and not feeling too well. When I was a kid/teenager I could go on any ride no matter what, nothing effected/affected the way I felt after a ride, spinning, twisting, whatever, didn't matter. Well, for about 5 years now I've had some issue with rides that spin (even like the Tilt-A-Whirl). They just hit my stomach in a not so nice way (weird, cause I was immune to it as a kid). Anyway, for the past 5 years I've just stayed away from those kind of rides. I'm still all about the roller coasters and pirate ships and things like that, just don't spin me. (I think it was on EPCOT'S "Mission to Mars" ride or whatever they call it that ruined me....anyway, I digress...so last night we went on this ride called the Extreme Frisbee (yeah, the name indicates that is spins...ya think!)

Canobie Lake Park there's a link if you want to see a video of what this ride does. Anyway, after eating a burger and having a Sprite, umm...maybe it wasn't such a good idea to go on. I didn't get sick, but boy was I close. To top it off, my cell phone popped out of my pocket during the ride. LUCKILLY it got stuck behind me and I didn't loose it, but all in all, that whole part of the day, not such a good idea! (haha). We did have a lot of fun though, and the other couple we went with had fun too.

Last night on the way home I remembered I have to work today! YIKES, what a bad time to remember that. Anyway, I'm working for UCONN Football and that stadium is a 2 hour drive for me. I have to leave at 11am and won't be back until well after midnight so this will be my only post today. Sorry!

I hope everybody has a good day. Tomorrow is busy for us, we have to take Salem to the doc's at 8am to get neutered (poor little guy, loosing his little guys) but hopefully that's gonna calm him down a bit (that's what Renee' says anyway, but I think she says that just to make me calm about the whole process of what we are doing to him)...then we have a 10am doc's appointment again for ourselves to talk more about the fertility thing and what steps we will be taking in the next month or so. I have to pick up my suit from the drycleaners cause I am working at a wedding on Sunday (first time working at a wedding, this should be interesting), and then we've gutta go back and pick up Salem. So I probably won't make it on here til tomorrow night, but I'll be thinking of you guys!

Just dropping by to say hi, I haven't forgotten you guys. It's been a long and hard August both at work and in my personal life. I have just about literally worked myself to death. Just found out on Tuesday that I have a pretty bad case of Coronary Artery Disease. The good news is that I didn't have to have a heart attack or stroke to make me aware of it, just some heart pain. I was in Chicago on a business trip and thought it was indigestion because the antacid relieved it, mostly. Went to the Dr when I got home and found out the real cause. As soon as I'm feeling a little better, I will ease back into the exercise mode, and as of now I'm definitely doing the cardiac diet seriously! I am officially resigning as a weigh in Rockstar for right now, but I will always be a Rockstar and when I have time to devote to being online, I'll be back!
