Have you ever realized you work out with Lesley Sanson too much? lol today my mom and I found a vending machine with kitty stickers in it, so we put in our money and got one...and I say "I love it!" haha I think, thats an interesting phrase and then realize where I got it from. Does anyone else say "I love it/this" now?
I think I'm going to try the 3 mile next week!!
Lol, I do.
I am trying something new this week. I had my "no exercise day today, and will work out on my "Cheat day" Sunday. I used to do it on the same day.
Yes, I have picked up both Leslie and Jillian phrases!

JILLIAN'S TIP OF THE DAY
Numb Toes
Sometimes people complain about numbness in their toes during cardio workouts. If you're experiencing this, it's most likely because you need bigger shoes. Exercise shoes should be a half size larger than your normal size, since the feet tend to swell during this kind of movement. The extra space in the shoe will create a comfort zone without screwing up your foot mechanics.
THANK YOU for this! I've had this problem SO much, and I was JUST griping about this a lot today 'cause I was on this new crazy machine the gym just got - a sort of combo stairmaster/elliptical thing - and I thought maybe using it would keep my toes from going numb, 'cause I'd be able to change the motion and foot position more, but Nooooo - 20 minutes in and my toesies were all pins and needles. I kept going for another 10 minutes but finally had to get off of it and it was SO frustrating! Now I know!

I guess I'm not too thrilled about having to buy another pair of shoes, but if it'll keep me from getting prickle-feet, it's worth it - THANKS for the info!

Friday's Recipe

Cantaloupe, Yogurt and Granola Parfaits with Blueberries Recipe

This recipe serves: 8
Preparation time: 30 minutes
Preparation time: 30 minutes

Ingredients
For the granola:
2 cups rolled oats
1/4 cup sliced almonds
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup molasses
2 tablespoons water
1 1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
3/4 cup raisins

For the blueberry sauce:
1 cup blueberries fresh or frozen
juice of 1/2 lemon
sugar (2-4 tablespoons, to taste)

For the parfaits:
4 cups plain, non-fat yogurt
2 cups fresh cantaloupe, cubed
8 tall parfait glasses

Cooking Instructions
For the granola:
1. Heat the oven to 375°F.
2. Combine the oats and almonds in a medium bowl.
3. In a small saucepan combine the honey, molasses, water, vegetable oil and cinnamon and heat through, stirring for about one minute. Pour over the oat mixture and stir to blend.
4. Spread the granola onto a baking sheet and toast, stirring every 10 minutes until golden-crisp, about 30 minutes.
5. Remove from the oven and add the raisins. Cool completely before serving.
6. The granola can be made ahead and stored in an airtight container for up to three weeks in the refrigerator or at room temperature.

For the blueberry sauce:
1. Puree the berries in a blender with the lemon juice. Blend in the sugar by the tablespoonful, tasting after each addition, until the desired degree of sweetness is reached.
2. Strain through a fine strainer, pressing with a rubber spatula to release the juices.

For the parfaits:
1. Layer the granola, cantaloupe and yogurt and drizzle with blueberry sauce.
