Default HEARTBREAKERS #24 "When you feel like giving up, remember why you held on for so long in the first place."UNKNOWN

SOME (GREEEN) FOOD FOR THOUGHT!!

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength;they shall mount up with wings as eagles they shall run,and not be weary;and they shall walk and not faint.Isaiah 40:31

God is our refuge and strength,a very present help in trouble.Psalm 46:1

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.Philippians 4:13

So that we may boldly say,the Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.Hebrews 13:6

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love and of a sound mind.1 Tomothy 1:7

Yea,though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,I will fear no evil:for though art with me;thy rod and thy staff they comfort me Psalm 23:7

O my God,I trust in thee:let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.Psalm 25:2

Lead me in thy truth, and teach me:for thou art the God of my salvation;on thee do I wait all the day.Psalm 25:5

"It is said an Eastern monarch once charged his wise men to invent him a sentence to be ever in view, and which should be true and appropriate in all times and situations. They presented him the words: "And this, too, shall pass away.""
~ Abraham Lincoln

"Experience is not what happens to you; it is what you do with what happens to you."
~ Aldous Huxley

"Instead of giving myself reasons why I can't, I give myself reasons why I can."
~ Unknown

"When one door closes another door opens; but we so often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door, that we do not see the ones which open for us."
~ Alexander Graham Bell

"He who refuses to embrace a unique opportunity loses the prize as surely as if he had failed."
~ William James

"When you come to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on. "
~ Franklin D. Roosevelt

"If you have made mistakes, there is always another chance for you. You may have a fresh start any moment you choose, for this thing we call 'failure' is not the falling down, but the staying down. "

"When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all up hill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must, but don't you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don't give up though the pace seems slow--
You may succeed with another blow,
Success is failure turned inside out--
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far;
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit--
It's when things seem worst that you must not quit."

Congrats on the gigantic losses!

I won't have my scale until tomorrow at the earliest.. once I have it I promise I will be back full throttle!

Yesterday my hubby's parents through a party for us. I've been eating so much junk food (since we're getting settled) and I had a country broil for the first time, so I ended up getting sick due to the combination... But my hubby made sure to make me feel better. lol

So, junk food is out now for sure. I hate feeling like I'm going to throw up, YUCK!

Now I've just got to win over the two I'm living with.

THIS WEEK'S LOW FAT RECIPE:

Caramelized Garlic Chicken

2 teaspoons olive oil
4 garlic cloves, minced
4 teaspoons brown sugar
4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves

Heat oven to 500 degrees F. Line a cookie sheet or shallow roasting pan with foil; spray foil with nonstick cooking spray.

Heat olive oil in a small nonstick skillet over medium-low heat until hot. Add garlic; cook 1-2 minutes or just until garlic begins to soften. Remove softened garlic from heat; stir in brown sugar until well-mixed. Place chicken breast halves in strayed foil-lined pan; spread garlic mixture evenly over meat. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until chicken is fork-tender and juices run clear.

Yields 4 servings.

Wow! We really did have some great losses. I just can't believe how hoppin the Heartbreakers have become. Great job everyone!

My goals this week:
-DRINK MORE WATER!!! (I still have a hard time with this one )
-Walk atleast 5 days
-Not give in to unhealthy food choices at school

I don't think I can handle much else this week. But I will get better as I adjust to my new schedule.
