I hate crunches etc. because I know they do not work for me, but I am still doing them, in hopes that someday my gut will miraculously get smaller...(I will not be holding my breath for that however)

I did have a soda today or a few drinks of one. I couldn't finish it. It is amazing that when you go without something for awhile you begin to get a distaste for it. I am happy to say I will be sticking to my sugarless tea and bottled water.

I was complimented at work yesterday, which made me smile and I thought I would share with you. A couple I hadn't seen in a while came into the store and started asking for a girl who used to work there in December, and when they described her and said my name I was like!!! Hey wait a minute, that is me!. the lady said I was so nice to them when they came through before that the wanted to stop in and say hello. BUT... they were surprised, because I had lost so much weight from when they had seen me, they didnt recognize me. I started thinking back to when I started my job there in the fall, and I have realized I am down from a size 28 pants to a size 20 and they are lose on me. My boss even told me she has seen a difference and that really made me think that even though it is struggle and I feel like nothing is happening there really are visible changes. Even if we are blind to our own successes, other people can see the change and sometimes we need to slow down and see what we have achieved.

I love your positive attitude! You go Dawn.
No snack, storm or anything else mother nature throws your way stopped you - wow, you amaze me. Yes, don't give up at all.

(DUI)so he has to walk to school and stuff like that. the only way we can keep him two more weeks is if she meets us. He had asked his grandmama too but she said no. we have been talking losts while he is here and he is fining out that his mom is sort of not telling the whole truth about stuff to put us in a bad light. and that little boy is right in the middle of it. he is so nervous to go back that he bit open the inside of his cheek. It hurts really bad. i make him rinse with peroxide but it doesn't seem to help much.
I better get going, i have to wash his clothes so i can pack his bag. This is always such a hard time. I know kayleigh is going to have a hard time with him leaving. It breaks my heart.
talk to you all later. i try to do better today so i can lose those 2 pounds i gained. Darn TOM....
Yvette, don't worry about those 2 lbs. They're nothing - you'll get rid of them in no time. I'm sorry Joe is the one paying for his mom's action.

Morning team!

How is everyone doing?

I've been so busy at work I couldn't sign on to check on our lovely team.

I have been sticking to my eating plan for most of the days. I'm still struggling with eating after 8pm. Like last night I was hungry at midnight, had a few Doritos and roasted soy beans. I did increase my calorie intake to about 1450 a day so I don't know why I'm hungry at night. Anyhow, been sleeping in more and taking more afternoon classes. I decided to keep 3 morning classes during work days and added 4 to 5 afternoon classes.

Yesterday was my off day. Today is back to some cardio on the stairmaster and elliptical with a lift class in between. No kickboxing or yoga, saving that for tomorrow.

Have fun today and stay on track with your exercise and food intake.

Hello everyone! I kinda had a bum day. My cramps were horrible so I wasn't able to do much. I kept my eating under control though so that is good. We are taking the kids to this new pizza place tomorrow. They have lots of games and go-karts. I've been promising all summer and since they start school Monday it's time to bring them. I'm just going to have to stay away from the pizza altogether because if I have even one slice then I tend to go nuts on the stuff.

I hope all you gals had a great day! Welcome to the team SJ!

Welcome to the team S.J.!!

Hi everyone. I am really doing good today. I did my exercises, and team challenges. I am going to take a nice long walk this evening when it cools down. I havent eaten a whole lot, my tummy has been acting up, so my calorie intake is pretty low. I have drank a lot of water though and I feel like my teeth are floating. LOL. I through my back out at work the other day and have muscle relaxers that I am supposed to take. I took one this morning on a empty stomach and am sure that is why I have an upset tummy. Other than that I am good and am not letting it get in the way of other things I need to do.
One thing that has been bothering me alot lately are my nosebleeds. I have had 3 already today. So I have to cut back on strenuous stuff. I have had to have both nostrils cauterized and packed several times in the past and I am hoping I wont have to have it done again!!! It is not a good feeling.
Anyhoo. Take care and good luck on weigh in!!! I know we can do this!!!

And the horrible thing is my kids are taking after me. My 15 month old just stopped eating his veggies. Just plain spits them out. He used to eat veggies for lunch and supper but now he hasn't eaten any in one month. I am going to keep trying but it gets expensive buying them and just throwing them away. One day maybe I'll wake up and be a grown-up and like vegetables.

Anyway, I just finished my 20 min. on the bike. When Nate goes down for his nap I will hit the laps. I will push for 80 today. I'm about to do the team challenges and some arm weights. Right now I am enjoying some quiet in the house - Madelyn is visiting my grandpa with my dad and Kyle is at school helping get the library in order. So it's just me and Nate and it's peaceful!

Remember to get your water in today and get moving even if you don't want to!!
I actually do like veggies... however, for some reason I buy them, and never bother to cook them... so they rot in my fridge. I recently quit buying them. (although I have a huge garden with tomatoes, green beans, squash, cucumbers, broccoli, cauliflower, corn, pumpkins, brussel sprouts and strawberries) BUT my son HATES them. So I make him drink V8. I started doing this too because I don't get enough servings per day. Now... you are probably thinking GROSS!!! Which I did at first. But I gave it one week... and now I like it. My son is still iffy... but he will drink it some times.

Also Cora is right, if you tried v8 and you hate that too... adding fruits helps a lot. You can mask the taste of the veggies with the fruit, and it really does work!

Good luck
