17 WEEKS!!!???!!! Really??? Hello Rockstars!!!

Wow I really am amazed that we are in week 17...that is just crazy. It amazes me that I have been here since April 1st and been on pretty much every day with the exceptions of course of Florida last week and a few work trips at the beginning. I'm very proud of all of us as a group. How far we've come together as a team and how far we've all come individually in our own personal journey's.

As for me....yet again, the Rockstars amaze me and make me happy and proud to be a part of this team. It is only 54 minutes into Sunday, and already we are nearly at 2 pages of posts here on the new thread. We do ROCK and we can never let anybody take that away from us.

My "maintain" for the week was actually a plus 2 on the scale. I expected to have a bad week because I knew my food options in Florida were not too good overall. I mean, when there is a lot of family around who you never see, (at least for my family), food is just part of the deal. Also, I let myself be a bit bad too. This week I WILL have a loss...there are no if, and's or BUTT'S about it...LOL!

Earlier tonight my father mentioned that he wants to start walking with me because he too is trying to loose weight. This will help to motivate me a bit more too...knowing I'm helping him. We plan to start on Monday night when he gets home from work. Him asking me for help is probably coming at a good time as I need a little extra kick in the butt I think. I mean, the 2 pounds of gain are enough motivation, but this will really force me...in a good way. I have to start a little lighter walking with him so I may not make it as far in the hour or so we go, or may not make it the hour or so but we'll see what happens Monday. I probably will still walk on my own in the mornings if I can.

Now that it's nearly 1am you'd think I was tired...but for some reason I just can't sleep. GRRR...I think it's the weather, I hate the heat like this.

My goals for the week....

1. REALLY get back on the healthy eating track

2. Keep up that water, water, water, water

3. Walk EVERYDAY!

4. Extra exersice, pushups, crunches, squats, whatever it takes to loose more than 2 pounds!

GOOD LUCK THIS WEEK EVERYBODY AND MOST IMPORTANTLY.....

KEEP ON ROCKIN'

Those look like great goals, Sharla! Yours are great too Josh. I don't know if you read Chrisie's post about Jillian's reminder that rest is important. Not sleep, rest. A change in the routine. Sometimes we get to kickin so much tail, we forget that we need to take a break....either slow down on the exercise (Josh) or change it. Eat a few more cals if you have been overrestricting and so forth. It was a great reminder and I think a lot of people benefitted from that advice

Also, Josh, wow! You are really at the motivational core of the team, and I truly believe that we would not have made it through some of the slow time without you and Holly. We need to all check in on each other and support one another and both of you as well as the rest of the ROCKIN ROCKSTARS do that for me....

Heehee I remember the beginning like it was yesterday....I said let's start a team and Holly and I and a few others were bantering back and forth a few names....man that was fun...I am glad we decided on the ROCKSTARS cause it really sets the persona of the team. I love it...take charge, in control and successful...(even if washed up sometime) and always making a comeback (can anyone say George Michael - WOW - best concert ever)!

Random thought - did I tell you all that this week it is Bryan Adams! I can't even hope that this will be as good, but I love him....so I think it will be great....

So goals for the week for me:

1. Booster notes twice - and dang it they are gonna be cute!
2. continue water
3. log calories - do not over restrict
4. stairs
5. put the past behind me....i have money stuff and work stuff and I just need to take back my attitude and not let the past have even an inch of it!

Great job Rockstars!!!! I know having you guys as friends has really given me reason and more determination to lose the weight, and try new things. I have appreciated the love during those times I have had some health scares and life scares. I may not know all of you, but just the fact that you are on my team makes me feel like we are family. I wish you all a great week!!! And, everyone tell Lara congrats on her weightloss!!!! She's a great leader and a great role model!!!!

Good Morning everyone! Wanted to get on and post my goals for the week. I will probably be back on later today...as I find that the more I am on here, the less I am motivated to eat things that are bad.
My goals for the week:

Water.... that kind of goes without saying, but if I dont post it, I dont do it.

Go to the gym 3x (minimal)

Walk or bike at home 3x

Start doing my points again. (this helps me be aware of what I put in my mouth)

Make my list of w hy I am doing this again.

Lose AT LEAST 2 lbs

Make my decision on joining the gym.

Good Morning Rockstars!!!

Well, today is a somewhat busy day for me. Yesterday was my mother-in-law's birthday so we are having a family party today. I know the one good thing is the cake will be a healthy one (as healthy as it can be anyway). My sister-in-law who is very health concisous is making the cake. Not sure what we're doing for food but I think it's grilled chicken and veggies. All in all, it's as healthy a b-day party as it can be!!!

I'll be back on with more later....KEEP ON ROCKIN' everybody!!!

Good Afternoon Rockstars!
Today i started my food journal (right now im at 245 calories) and we also met our new pastor at church. She was really nice although you could tell she was nervous. Today....I will do stairs, dvd and strength training...no slacking.

and i am repeating what i said earlier in the thread:

1) Bring back the Green Tea (im sure some of my early losses were due to the metabolism boost that green tea gives)
2) Im starting a food journal. (i have a notebook that i am taking everywhere. If i dont want to immediately write it, then im not going to eat it)
3) Stairs, DVD, strength training workouts (No slacking by me. If i am watching TV, then the commercials are to be given to helping my body: crunches and pushups)
4) Continue to stay away from foods that will harm my diet.

Please buddies, help me stay on track and keep reminding me of these goals in which i set for myself.
