only two or three weeks. maybe longer but we have to see how to arrange that. cost soooo much money to drive all the way to ohio border and back. would. his grandma will go to myrtle beach the week of the 2nd. he does not know if he wants to go there or stay with us and than she picks him up here. we might drive him all the way back. 16 hour trip back and forth...

TRANSLATION:
Your life deserves better than a half-hearted effort. Meet your goals with a weak handshake and they’ll soon be waving you goodbye. Since you probably don’t want to look back on a life full of “almost made it” memories, it’s time for total commitment. Leave it all on the field, don’t hold anything back. Is there anything more satisfying than pouring out your entire being, straddling the cliff, reaching your total limit, then looking up and realizing that oh-my-gosh-I-can’t-believe-I-really-did-it? And is there anything more tragic than failing and realizing you could have done more? If you feel “out” of your current life, that’s okay. Make your first goal to build a life that you can get “in”-to. Then don’t look back. Make every day count and live purposefully, live energetically, live completely.

JILLIAN'S TIP OF THE DAY
Focus on Now
Although it's important to have your "prize" in sight, try to be realistic with your day-to-day activities. Set small, attainable goals that will challenge you and motivate you every week to get to the finish line. Take an additional five minutes to walk around the block, or try cooking a new, healthy meal for your family. Setting your sights on the here and now will allow you to make real changes that will improve your overall attutiude. These everyday activites will remind you of what you're working for and how far you have come already.

Recipe of the Week !!

Chicken Soup With Lime
Give your usual chicken noodle soup a Mexican-inspired makeover for a taste that's muy caliente!
START TO FINISH: 30 minutes MAKES: 4 servings

12 ounces skinless, boneless chicken breasts, cut into bite-size pieces
Kosher salt (optional)
Freshly ground black pepper (optional)
3 cloves garlic, minced (1 1/2 teaspoons minced)
1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon hot chili powder
1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds, crushed, or 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper (optional)
2 14-ounce cans chicken broth
1/2 cup chopped green onions
1 large tomato, chopped
3 tablespoons lime juice
1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro

If desired, season chicken with kosher salt and black pepper. In a Dutch oven, cook chicken and garlic in hot oil over medium-high heat until chicken is no longer pink. Stir in chili powder, cumin seeds, and, if desired, crushed red pepper. Cook and stir for 30 seconds. Stir in chicken broth and green onions. Bring to boil; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in tomato, lime juice, and cilantro.

Nutrition Facts per serving: 178 cal., 8 g total fat (1 g sat. fat), 45 mg chol., 719 mg sodium, 6 g carbo., 1 g fiber, 21 g pro.

This fall I want to run a 10k race. I've never done it before. I did my first 5k last summer and enjoyed it. But with my running group I've been running farther distances and have decided that I want to push myself to a 10k this fall. Today I had a great run. I ran 1hr and 15min without stopping. I got on MapMyRun.com to see the length of my route. It was about 6.4 miles. Then I decided that I needed to figure out how far a 10k is so I can start training for it. Well apparently 6.4 miles is 10.29k!! How awesome is that!? I love being surprised by conversions!
