Good morning. It's time to start another fabulous week as a Fitness Fanatic! I had a great weekend. It was a good balance of busy and relaxed. Last night I saw some family friends who hadn't seen me in maybe a month or so. They raved about how great I looked the minute I walked through the door! They said I'm going to knock Flynn (my boyfriend) out when I see him again (in just two weeks!!). That sure made my day!
Tonight I am going to go for a good long run. But first I'm going shopping. I'm going to the beach with the family this weekend and want to get a cute swim suit and one of my goals is to buy a new outfit this week. It might take me several days because I'm cheap and picky which means I'm not a very good shopper.
I hope you are all setting yourselves up for a fun, successful week! Let's do this!

good morning buddies,
I feel great this morning, haven't gained any weight over this weekend. I was stuck in the car for 10 hours to pick up Joe, Mitch son. It was so good to see him. Not sure how long he is going to stay with us. but we'll just enjoy the time we have right now. Kayleigh refuses to leave him alone and is on top of him constantly. he is going to get tiered of it soon lol. anyway. it did shock me that he is 44 pounds to heavy. he gained lots over the last year. had him down last summer pretty good, and i do not put him on a diet, to little for that. but i do want him to be healthy. so i am going to monitor him today and see what he puts in his mouth. he was very imbarresed to step on the scale. poor thing. he said he wants to go run with me everynight. and last night we played tennis together. he was the ballboy and boy was he sweating. lol. better get going now.

My goals for the week:
Stick to my calories 1300-1500
MOVE, EVERY DAY!
Be a good buddy

I only have three goals this week. I am trying to simplify since I have not met ANY of my goals the last few weeks! I have been slacking and so very UN-Motivated. I am hoping that by making my goals as simple as possible this week I can get back in the game! Plus I don't know how I will do this week, I work 40 hours of Overtime in 9 days. I might be a nutcase by 8/3. Plus after that I go from days to GRAVEYARD with only ONE day off in between! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I am going to lose it. Oh well, I will just breathe, and write. Hopefully those two things will keep me sane!
I hope you all have a great day, I have to go take a spanish lesson now. Yuck. They are getting hard! It sure takes a lot of words to ask for an address!

Glad to hear you got him back for a while. You are already making good choices for you he will see that and will follow your lead. Not to say he won't ever want some candy or soda but I think you'll be able to get him to see what good choices are. Try not to make his weight a focus just make it easy for him to pick healthy foods and keep active. Sounds like he may lose a few pounds running away from Kayleigh!

I have really been "un-motivated" as well. I just can not seem to get myself up and exercise. Thank goodness I have been drinking my water or else I'd be in really bad shape.

Sounds like your going to be really busy.
Good luck in your Spanish class. My son had to take one in the police academy.

How are you doing on your soda? I do have one every now and then but not much at all.

no i am going to try not to say anything else about it. he weighed this morning. becouse i weighed. he wants to do active stuff with me so that is wonderfull.
all i want is for him to have a great time while he is here.

Yvette, As active as you are it will be easy for him to drop a few pounds. How long do you think he might be able to stay with you?

I know exactly what you mean, I have not been able to drag myself up and out of bed or from the couch for long enough to work out, or even just lift weights in my living room. I did once last week... not good. I am going to be busy uck! I won't know if I am coming or going next week! That's a good thing that your son had to take spanish in the academy. In oregon they don't require it, so most officers don't know ANY spanish. I am taking it because I had a 911 that I could not understand one word of, how do you deal with that? I had to use a 3rd party translator and it took FOREVER! So... I am going to try and learn enough to get through a basic call. Do you need Medical, police or fire? What's your address and phone number? etc...
Soda... ummmm... not so good. Some days I only have one, other days I have 6. It depends. I don't know what it depends ON, but it changes every day. So far today, I have had one, and am hoping to keep it that way! Wish me luck

Happy Monday Team!

How is everyone this morning?

My goal for this week:
-Be a great Buddy to Mari and the team
-Not get on the scale until Friday for weigh in
-Eat 1400 to 1500 calories on days I exercise and 1200 on off days
-Gotta get back to working out every morning - even if it's for 30 min. on days I don't have a class - Monday and Wednesday.
-Don't let PMS get the best of me

This weekend I did not workout. The early mornings and late nights caught up to me. All I wanted to do was lay in bed till noon with Rodney. On Saturday I was eating soooo good all day - until the return trip from Chuckie Cheese for my niece's birthday. I ate well up until that point; even took the kids to McD's for dinner and wouldn't eat at CC - because I knew I would be too tempted with pizza and what not in my face. I actually ate a healthy dinner before taking off. What was not on my menu was the eating we did once we got home and played board games with the family. I failed miserably.
Did make it up Sunday because I ate well for the most part.

After two days of not working out I told myself I am ready to do it starting today. But I found myself giving in to 101 reason why I should sleep till 7am. I missed the spin class but did make it to the gym to do 20 min. on the stairmaster and 40 min. on the elliptical. I think I'm in a depressed state and has been in this slump for the last week. I don't know why even working out this morning did not make me feel better. The emotional and drama at home is getting the best of me. I hope I can shake it off soon.

Tonight I have a kickboxing and yoga class to go to. That'll make 3 hours for today.
