"Did you get wipes?" "Change of clothes for Asher?" and then he gets all mad that I would think he would forget. *sigh*

Anyway, I think it was a good day today. I have been keeping my eating in check, walked 4 miles then did my weight and ab exercises, and I even got more water in....this is usually the hardest thing for me. So with me doing all this why haven't I seen any weight loss?????
If you're doing all this regulrly Babs you're probably gaining muscle. Muscle weighs much more than fat, so if you're doing weight training and not losing, that's usually what's happening. You could try keeping track of inches.

It's not a bad thing, though. Muscle helps you burn fat more quickly.

Tiffany-- A cheerleader is someone who still wants to support the group, but not be apart of it. Some of the other groups have cheerleaders-- Wild cat has one that has reached her goal, someone else has a cheerleader because the girl is pregnant, etc. I figured since Tiffany no longer wanted to be a Heartbreaker but said she'd be visiting and rooting us on, I'd make her a cheerleader.

And thank you everyone for your kind words. It's just very upsetting to have to deal with it all.

I do 1 hour of water aerobics every other day, and wog (two miles) with my doggies on the other days....except Sunday. I count choir as an activity on Sunday... we practice 1 1/2 hrs before church and then sing during, so it is a lot of exercise, and I love it. I also try to work in the yard a couple of days a week. Just keeping blackberries out of my garden is a workout.

Just wanted to pop in to say...Joy..im so sorry your going through this...this is a very confusing, emotional, stressful, time...but, its supposed to be joyful....now..you see why some go and elope...and leave everyone out of it! This day is about you and your hubby...and your new life together...listen to your heart...and follow it. I absolutely love my meanie of a father...but, like i told him ..this is my life..and i will not let him make me angry...or bitter...as hard as he does try....i wont let him. this is my life...and i will enjoy it... and about people passing away... im not sure either what your supposed to do about it...but, i mean stay in touch with them, but..you cant keep them from dying...we are all going to die one day...and we all have the same opportunities to enjoy life...or be miserable. You already have plans to move here and go to college...what is he wanting you to stay home now...? he must have the college jitters more than you ...he must not want to lose his baby....but, its okay...in the end...he will understand that you have an awesome opportunity and that you will be alright...and so will he.

to all the HEARTBREAKERS... lets show them what we are really made of....lets break some hearts!!

Lets, focus twice as hard on what we are eating, drinking, and how we are working out...

THIS IS ELEMENTARY...BUT, A REMINDER FOR THE NEWBIES...

* NO FAST FOODS...THEY ONLY MAKE YOU FAT!
*NO SODAS (THE DIETS ARE EVEN WORSE FOR YOU! AND THEY ALL MAKE YOU FAT!)
* DRINK LOTS OF WATER (HALF YOUR BODY WEIGHT IN OUNCES DAILY)
* WORK OUT, WOG, JOG, RUN, SOMETHING FOR ATLEAST 30 MINUTES EACH DAY! (AFTER THIS BECOMES A HABIT DO MORE!)
*NO JUNK ( I SAY NONE..BUT, OF COURSE WE WILL ALL EAT SOMETHING, OR DRINK SOMETHING ON THIS LIST..BUT, DONT MAKE IT A HABIT...LIMIT IT...DONT BUY IT AND TAKE IT TO YOUR HOUSE...IF YOU REALLY WANT SOMETHING BUY A SMALL SIZE AND NOT THE LARGE ECONOMY PACK...AND EAT IT OR DRINK IT SLOWLY....MODERATION IS THE KEY. BUT..I STRIVE FOR HAVING NONE OF THESE....THEY ARENT WORTH THE CALORIES, OR THE FAT THAT THEY PRODUCE IN OUR BEAUTIFUL BODIES..

lets all stay active in the forum, and active in our daily lives....when you do something....active ...let us know...it will encourage us...and motivate us ..to do more!

i better go...i have alot going on in my days....and i will be back on later...love you guys..have an amazingly wonderful day!

Arrow Re: Heartbreakers #22 That's what friends are for.

Great tips April!
1. NO JUNK FOOD or FAST FOOD
2. NO SODA
3. DRINK LOTS OF WATER
4. EXERCISE

I have all but item 4 down pat
I would say #5 should be INCREASE FRUIT AND VEGTABLE SERVINGS
I am eating tons of fruits and vegtables and I *almost* feel I am not dieting because it seems like I get to eat so much!

BUT One thing I am REALLY missing on my diet is milk.
I drank ALOT of milk, but it has 200 or more calories per large glass even skim milk!
So I decided instead of have a small glass even, to just cut it out.
But I tell you what, a meal isnt the same with out a big glass of milk...
however I just can't afford to waste the calories...
phoowey. I MISS MILK- WWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!

My goals this week -

1. Limit "naughty" snacks to 100 calorie servings
2. Do not drink milk except 1/2 C in coffee once a day
3. Eat more fresh foods instead of prepackaged processed foods

I am not adding exercise yet because I just dont want to let myself down - and if I set it as a goal and dont do it, I will get discouraged. If I do it, then it is an added bonus, going above and betond my goals

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!

I DO THAT TOO CONCHA!

(I dont know why my pic isnt shoing - go here to see it -http://www.tcady.com/mug.jpg

Here is a pic of my 32 oz insulated mug, I think i got at grocery store years ago or a quickee mart maybe... I fill to brim with ice in the am, then add water, and it is well insulated so it keeps cold ALL DAY LONG, I just add water 2 or 3 times as I drink it and it empties. I get ALOT of water this way!

I am thinking about decorating it with stickers or markers...

I take it in my car, at work, in the movies, to parks, picnics, events, any where i can bring it with me easily, I do.

I am trying to figure out how to make it spill proof, it isnt and so if it tips in my car it makes a mess, so if you buy one, get a spill resistant type, a water bottle would be good...if insulated, even better, or fill and freeze it every night so the ice melts slowly and you drink as it melts, you always have very cold water that way!

GREAT IDEA!

My mom will be joining the group next week so we will have one more new member!

Keep recruiting people so we have enough members to win!
We cant all loose 3-4 lbs EVERY week! Its not healthy....to win we need more members!

Anytime you ask someone to be your buddy invite them to our group too.
If you read a new blog of someone who you think could benefit, invite them to join us. Just send them an email telling them how to find us in the forum.

Keep recruiting!

HEARTBREAKER TIP OF THE WEEK

After getting home from the store, immediately wash, chop and/or slice fresh fruit and raw vegetables into serving sizes. Pack in plastic baggies or containers and put in your refrigerator. Try different ways to cut them for variation.

fresh fruit serving: 1 cup
fresh vegetables, raw: 1 and 1/2 CUP
