We didn't have family dinner today. That was the start of it. When I got home from my run the kids had already eaten and my share was on the counter. I had one extra wrap that I didn't need and some apple. I would have been ok if I had stopped there. After waiting a while, I went back to the kitchen and got some cereal (it's muesli so not bad for me, I just didn't need it). Then I had several cookies and more cereal. I don't know what my deal is. Maybe I'm not getting enough calcium and I'm craving cereal. Maybe I just have a serious weak spot for cereal. Maybe I'm finally feeling fit and I'm sabotaging myself. Whatever the reason it's got to stop. I should feel healthy and fit. I had a good run and ate well all day. But instead I feel full and lazy. Tomorrow I'm not "treating" myself. Tomorrow I might run and swim. No more self-sabotage!
I hope you are all having a great day. Stay strong! I will too!

I think you know what is happening here it could be a little of everything. Self sabotage, hormonal cravings, extra hungry from doing longer harder workouts. The key is to of course burn more calories then you take in. I have stopped treating myself to food I have heard it is not a good idea to use food as a reward, however, I think it is human nature sometimes to do so. Anyway, Hannah I think if you identify a food that you know leads to binges it is best not to have that food for as long as possible. I had to do it with chips, mashed potatos, cereal and sandwiches. You will get through it just try to force yourself to think about if you are really hungry or not before you eat it. Then stop yourself if you really aren't or make a note of it so you can find patterns. Good luck! We are with you on this windy, bendy, up and down road. You will make yourself get through it.
