Default Heartbreakers#19 A diet is when you watch what you eat and wish you could eat what you watch

This isn't a diet...

ITS A LIFE STYLE!

We're learning to live and deal with our "food addiction" in the real world!

Honesty time.

I feel like a failure when I come to the forum and haven't succeeded in my goals, which is why I don't come here very often. Everyone on here seems so together and I am just floundering all over the place. I haven't given up at my usual six week mark. I'm still working out several times a week, but my eating habits are much more of a struggle, and I get so embarrassed when I see all of yur posts and know that I am not doing those things, and I am not losing the weight.

After I was sick, my scale said that I had gained back all the weight I had lost and I got so disgusted. No matter how many times I got on it, no matter what time of day--and it just pissed me off. I mean how was it possible? So I just started eating whatever again, and now I am losing again, but I still feel discouraged. I mean, my word, why is this so hard?

THE POINT IS THAT YOU ARE HERE AND YOU ARE TRYING. THERE ARE LOTS OF PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD THAT NEVER HAVE ATTEMPTED OR EVEN TRIED. JUST DIDNT CARE AND ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE WAS MY FATHER. EVERYONE SAYS HE KILLED HIMSELF WITH A SPOON. NEVER TRIED TO LOSE EVEN AFTER THE TRIPLE BI-PASS.

GOD ALWAYS GIVES US ANOTHER DAY SO ITS NEVER TOO LATE TO START OVER I DONT CARE WHAT NO ONE SAYS. YOU ARE HERE AND THAT MEANS ALOT. IF YOU NEED A BUDDY AND A KICK IN THE PANTS LET ME KNOW. LOL

I AM GLAD TO SEE YOU SURFACE TINK

Tink,
You didn't gain all t he weight in one day so you will have to work hard to get it off! DON"T GIVE UP!!!!! That is the worst thing you could do. Don't get discouraged either! You are a teacher, what do you do when one of your students doesn't understand something?? Do you let them give up?? I don't think you do... you help them along and you encourage them and you watch them meet their goals. You are going to do it!!!! I know you will....... Don't give up!!!! Just work extra hard!

Hi everyone! Sorry about the late thread, and scarceness.

Julie-- wedding planning is alright. My goal right now is to only lose 1-3 lbs by the wedding... otherwise I'm afraid I'll have to alter my dress again! And it costs $65 to get it taken in! I'm crazed of course but what else is new -- although I'm more worried about PACKING and MOVING. Who ever thought this was a good idea to do at the same time of the wedding was a nut case. Oh well. I'm fretting over trying to find a song for us to dance to.. We haven't really got a song. Ughh... LOL

I can't wait to get back into the full fledged weight loss groove when this is all overr....!!!!!!

Ironically I had a girl IM me earlier, apologizing for an incident a few years ago where she tried screwing around with my fiance. It was strange.

Tink honey, we all have times in our weight loss lives when we just cant seem to make any progress. But the key really is to not give up. Its like trying to learn to ride a bike. At first we keep falling off and skinning our knees no matter how hard we try. But if we dont give up after much hard work, setbacks , disappointments, something suddenly clicks and we can do it. So put ICanDoIt bandaids on your knees, your Determination helment on your head and try it again, and again, and again til it works. Luv Ya -Dee

Tink - We are all here for you - whatever you need, be it a shoulder pat or a butt kick! Last week I couldn't exercise due to a small op and with feeling unwell came the junk food. Usually I would have given up completely but this time, for the first time, felt different and i'm almost back on course. I know we're all different and we all hit this point at different times in our journeys. Dee's analogy about learning to ride a bike is great! You are definately not a failure as you've come so far already. We're all here for you, please don't feel like you're on your own!! (((HUGS)))
