Molly you are the one who got me started on the green tea. and now I love it!

ok...i'm here!!! lemme just say that today has been an awesome day. I have been incorporating practice from Paternak's 5-factor system and i feel fantastic - 5 small meals w/protein, fat, fiber, carbs and liquid. It's weird to eat so much/often. Also, in terms of challenges, i hit most of them today doing The Firm (Session 6 for me) including:C1, C2, C3, C4, C6, C7, U2, U4, U5, U6, U7, L2, L3, L4, L5, L6, L7, L8! Can you believe it??? :-)

OK...this week's plan:
1. around 1200-1300 a day, incorporating the 5-factor system
2. at least 64 ozs of water a day
3. vitamins and supplements daily (multi, flax, chromium picolinate, b6/b12, & metabolift)
4. do The Firm 2-3 days a week (one *down* today) incorporating the challenges
5. include green tea daily
6. daily 30-minute sessions on the treadmill
7. Set my one "Cheat Day" for Tuesday July 1st for me & hubby's anniversary :-)
8. Encourage and support my *awesome* peeps!

love you guys! xo, mimi

Wow, I LOVE the word after the group name - REFOCUS. Yes this is what I need to do. I have let my bum knee/inactivity and poor food choices go a little wild. So I am serious to find a team where I must stay FOCUSSED.

Good luck to all this week and thank you Kama.

My goals for the week:
1. To be 6 days on plan
2. Eat slowly. Eat 3 medium balanced meals & 2 snacks if hungry (1200-1500 calories/day)
3. No eating after 7PM unless it is veggies and I am hungry
4. Drink water, herbal tea and green tea (decaf or regular)
5. vitamins
6. Do Core and Upper body exercises and do what I can for the Lower body. I will likely add butt and thigh pilates 3 times this week because it seems to not affect my knee. No cardio at this time accept that I plan to do the weights and core exercises at a good pace. That should get my heart rate up.
7. Relaxation techniques like meditation to keep my cortisol in check.
8. no simple sugar when on plan

Ok...so I tried some of the exercises that are posted here, unfortunately I was only able to get through 1 set each of # 4 , 5, and 7 of the lower body challenges before getting a wicked charlie horse. Maybe I should have stretched first? I didn't quite realize I was in that bad of shape. Thought I would have been able to do a little more. I will try to get through another set of each tonight before bed.
