Rockstar Challenge Week 13

Week 12 Challenge Winner is Debbi Red Rockstar!
1st Runner Up Holly Red Rockstar
2nd Runner Up Jinni Blue Rockstar

We are hoping that more Rockstars will be joining us this week! If anyone would like to add or change a challenge be sure and send me a message!

Hope everyone has a Great Rockstar Week and I apologize for falling behind on starting the new thread! I will try to do better next week since I hope I won't still be moving next week!!!

This weeks Challenges!
1)Holly: Be thankful for finding this site and becoming a Rockstar! (1 pt)
2) Holly: Take the stairs instead of the elevator and get a point for each flight you climb.
3) Holly/Linda/Tuesday: Park in the space at the end of the row furtherest from the door, or around the building, and walk in rather than parking close and get a point for each time you do it. (2pts roundtrip)
4) Linda: Not using "drive up" anything, park and walking in building, (1 pt.) You'll save on gas too!
5) Linda: Reading all the ingredients of at least two edible products you buy at the grocery store. (2 pts)
6) Linda: Emailing all your of buddies a note that you do not hear from for at least three days to make sure they are still motivated. (3 pts)
7) Linda: Reading one random blog every day, replying to it and sending that person a booster note lending your support. That person cannot already be one of your buddies or already a Rockstar, 2 points Each additional (random) person, 1 point
8) Debbie: Log everything you eat and drink for the day. (5 pts)
9) Debbie: Take 5 minutes to close your eyes in a quiet, dark room to meditate on your weight loss journey. Find one thing that you did today that will help you on your journey, and find one positive thing you can promise to yourself that you will do tomorrow for your journey. Just sit quietly for the rest of the 5 minutes to calm yourself and to think positive thoughts ONLY! (10 pts)
10) Heather: Share with the team what you do/say/practice/read/etc to stay motivated. Maybe we can help each other learn some new tricks. Share yours for 5 points, and read what others have posted about it for two additional points each day.
11) Jinni: You love yourself affirmation (1 pt/day) *Rockstar Affirmation
12) Jinni: 1/2 hour workout (your choice) at least 3 times /wk 3pts/day
13) Jenn: Do calf raises while waiting in line, elevator etc. 1 pt. for every 10
14) Jenn: Do squats while brushing your teeth, etc. 1 pt. for every 10
15) Holly: Get one pt for each 8 ozs of water you drink, if you drink 8/8oz (64 ounces) you get 20 pts instead of 8 plus an additional point for each cup over 64 ozs. EX: 4 cups=4 pts, 7 cups=7 pts, 8 cups=20 pts, 9 cups=21pts
16) Holly: Eat a healthy breakfast, as early as possible 3pts
17) Lara: commercial break activity, either walking in place, wall push ups, squats, done for the entire commercial break (1 pt./commercial)
18) Lara: Take a multivitamin. (5 pts)


For the benefit of the newer members, the Rockstar Affirmation was added to a challenge by our beautiful Rockstar, Monica, in week 5 or so I think. It says, "I am beautiful, I am worthy, I am a ROCKSTAR"

I'll be posting my Challenge points list next and invite anyone who would like to, just copy and paste it into your own post and then you can go back each day and edit it rather than starting all over again!

By gosh, I might have this figured out-though I'm not sure I can actual do a couple of them-mostly because it's not possible. And some numbers will definitely be more than others. I'm still unsure of some of these-do I add my own to fit me, or just go by this??? Holly I know you told me where to find it, but now I can't find that post either-crazy me!

I'll start from yesterday!! Well, yesterday for Me, apparently it is still Monday for the computer!

yep, but every once in a while, Holly will ask for suggestions for healthy habits to add, and we will add some new so be thinking about anything you want to add for the next time we have a chance

Great! Glad you are joining in! No you don't change the ones already there but you can add one totally different or use the idea of another but make it work for you. For instance, we had one when we first started about doing a cardio workout for 30 minutes, I couldn't do it at that time because of my asthma but I walked which was a workout for me with the asthma! And it's not an all or nothing deal. You may only want to do some of them, I rarely ever manage to all of them in a days time.

It's been so long since I told you where to look for that post, I don't remember but I will copy and paste here what I think you are asking about!

I had several Rockstars tell me they didn't like doing the challenges because it was too overwhelming and it ended up leaving them not wanting to do anything. That's not what we want! First of all the challenges are intended to help you to do things you find hard to do and get rewarded for doing them so that maybe you will start to make them a good habit. But you don't have to do them all, if that is a problem for you.

Maybe for some the idea would be to just pick the ones you want to work on that particular week and don't worry about the rest, but share it with the rest of us. We are a team and we want to share our ups and downs and be supportive of every effort that anyone makes! It really isn't about who does the most, it's about doing the things that will help you be a healthy weight. The point totals and awards are just for the benefit of those competitive sorts, like me! Remember the difference in winners and losers is that winners are willing to do what the losers aren't willing to do. Stretch yourself a little and you'll get a lot of benefit.

Well here I go again...in trying to be a better BLUE TEAM LEADER I will do my best to keep up with these here. I always seem to do the challenges pretty well, I just don't always give myself the due credit. Well, here goes...my totals through today.
