Rockstar Challenge Week 12
After kicking butt in the weight loss challenge for two week running , we should be so pumped for jumping on these challenges! Let's work hard at them this week because you know those other teams will be working hard to get back the title from us! If you aren't the competitive sort and don't care about competition for accumulating the most points (AND BRAGGING RIGHTS!) then just pick one or some to work on as your own personal challenge this week to improve your healthy lifestyle changes and weight loss. And share your success and trials with those challenges with the team. We want to support and encourage each other to be successful.
This weeks Challenges!
1)Holly: Be thankful for finding this site and becoming a Rockstar! (1 pt)
2) Holly: Take the stairs instead of the elevator and get a point for each flight you climb.
3) Holly/Linda/Tuesday: Park in the space at the end of the row furtherest from the door, or around the building, and walk in rather than parking close and get a point for each time you do it. (2pts roundtrip)
4) Linda: Not using "drive up" anything, park and walking in building, (1 pt.) You'll save on gas too!
5) Linda: Reading all the ingredients of at least two edible products you buy at the grocery store. (2 pts)
6) Linda: Emailing all your of buddies a note that you do not hear from for at least three days to make sure they are still motivated. (3 pts)
7) Linda: Reading one random blog every day, replying to it and sending that person a booster note lending your support. That person cannot already be one of your buddies or already a Rockstar, 2 points Each additional (random) person, 1 point
8) Debbie: Log everything you eat and drink for the day. (5 pts)
9) Debbie: Take 5 minutes to close your eyes in a quiet, dark room to meditate on your weight loss journey. Find one thing that you did today that will help you on your journey, and find one positive thing you can promise to yourself that you will do tomorrow for your journey. Just sit quietly for the rest of the 5 minutes to calm yourself and to think positive thoughts ONLY! (10 pts)
10) Heather: Share with the team what you do/say/practice/read/etc to stay motivated. Maybe we can help each other learn some new tricks. Share yours for 5 points, and read what others have posted about it for two additional points each day.
11) Jinni: You love yourself affirmation (1 pt/day) *Rockstar Affirmation
12) Jinni: 1/2 hour workout (your choice) at least 3 times /wk 3pts/day
13) Jenn: Do calf raises while waiting in line, elevator etc. 1 pt. for every 10
14) Jenn: Do squats while brushing your teeth, etc. 1 pt. for every 10
15) Holly: Get one pt for each 8 ozs of water you drink, if you drink 8/8oz (64 ounces) you get 20 pts instead of 8 plus an additional point for each cup over 64 ozs. EX: 4 cups=4 pts, 7 cups=7 pts, 8 cups=20 pts, 9 cups=21pts
16) Holly: Eat a healthy breakfast, as early as possible 3pts
17) Lara: commercial break activity, either walking in place, wall push ups, squats, done for the entire commercial break (1 pt./commercial)
18) Lara: Take a multivitamin. (5 pts)
For the benefit of the newer members the Rockstar Affirmation was added to a challenge by our beautiful Rockstar, Monica, in week 5 or so I think. It says, "I am beautiful, I am worthy, I am a ROCKSTAR"
I've already started my challenge point scoreboard, and you are more than welcome to copy and paste it into your own post and then edit it to make it yours. Then each day, go back and edit that page rather than start a new one. It's easy, it's fun and it will increase your weight loss to participate! Good Luck Rockstars!
