TWO days ago I did the Biggest Loser Cardio dvd(which is awesome by the way) but I think I pushed myself a bit too far. I'm still sore. But I hate just sitting around, so what can I do without..well, injuring myself? lol. I want to do the dvd again but I will wait till I'm no longer sore.

Another question. How do you all feel about those 100 calorie snack packs? I'm sure they must be loaded with sugar. I usually get the Lorna Doone cookie ones, or the cheeto ones. Just for a something small salty or sweet. I know you shouldn't just pay attention to calories though, so that's why I'm asking.

Here's what I ate yesterday, just so ya know:
B: egg beaters with two slices cut up turkey
L: two slices pizza(made with Heart Smart Bisquick, No Sugar Added sauce, and fat free mozz.
S: one banana
D: two chicken legs, a small baked potato, prob. about a cup of brocolli
Then, I did a bad thing. I ate another banana around 11pm I really ought to go to bed earlier so I can avoid getting hungry again before bed.

Well, sorry about the long post! but thanks again..
great job getting on here and posting. it can be really helpful and a good way to get to know your team. okay, here is my opinion on the strength training. after 2 days of rest you are okay to do it again. it is okay to workout if you're a little sore- just make sure you warm up really well. once your muscles are warm and not feeling as sore jump into the workout. listen to your body, if you are having pain stop or adjust the moves. after a good workout you will be sore, and it's a good thing. i remember my first year at volleyball camp- after day 1 the girls thought we would die. there was NO way we could do day 2. but the couch had us running laps and warming up and pretty soon we were doing it fine. good luck & keep us posted >'-'<

TEE: Putting It All Together

Today is the day! The suspense has been killing you, right? But I'm keeping my promise: Today we'll investigate exercise expenditure, the last piece of the total energy expenditure (TEE) formula, and put it into place to calculate your overall calorie needs and expenditures. The third and final element you need to calculate your TEE is the number of calories you burn from exercise on an average day. The number of calories you burn during any exercise session depends on a few things, primarily your body weight.
Use this chart to help you determine the number of calories you burn from exercise on an average day according to your weight, the type of exercise you do, and its duration. Write the number down.
Now get the three numbers you've come up with over the past weeks. Simply multiply your BMR by your daily activity score, and then add your exercise expenditure. Whatever you get from this final calculation is your magic number.
Monday's Tip: Is It Worth It?

Finding Calorie Expenditure
Don't let the machine do the work for you. A great way NOT to figure out how many calories you burn during exercise is to go by the monitor on the treadmill, elliptical machine, or exercise bike. Exercise machines won't take your body's quirks into account and are generally inaccurate. If you want more than an estimate, use a heart rate monitor. It's the most effective way to calculate the calories you've burned during workouts. Once you've programmed it with your personal information, it will give you a much more accurate count of the calories you burn, as you burn them.
