Well I decided this morning to start fresh. I am not going to stress so much over my friend. He is 40 years old and it is time he started to act like it. He has been living on and off with us since end of Feb. 07 He found a girlfriend and she kicks him out when she is mad so he comes crawling back to our house. Like fools we let him in. Well he got himself into trouble, 2 DUI's in 7 weeks. He went back and shacked up with his girlfriend again. Don't believe he has read the papers on his condition of bond. He has a lot to do between now and Thurs. and I don't even think he realizes it. Just have to keep telling myself, Not my problem, NOt my problem. I saw the scores from the other teams and how much they are losing, and I was almost embarrassed by our weight loss. That proves to me that I am not doing what I should. This weight should be off. All I am doing is going thru the motions. Time to change things around and get things shaken up.

Goals for the week
1. Drink my water, I haven't been doing that at all really
2. Find better choices to eat than what I have
3. Do some sort of exercise each day
4. Lose at least 2 pounds this week (will be happy with more but a good start)

Come on Diamonds, we need to get off our butts and SHINE!

I leave for vacation on Sunday and will be gone for 10 days I will miss one weigh in. I'm very nervous about my eating while I'm away...I'm hoping all the walking we will be doing at Universal will counter act the restaurant eating. We don't have a kitchen so unfortunately we will be our meals out while we are their. Thats why I need to loose about five pounds before I go I need my shorts to fit comfortably so I'm not coming home with them rubber banded together.

Good Morning. Great goals everyone!

Started the Couch Potato to 5K this morning. Yeah, if this doesn't get some weight off, nothing will! It's hard to imagine that by mid August I will be able to run 5K without stopping. Then I just need to improve my time for the 5K in September.

I can't either. That's why I'm starting with this. After a warm up its 20 minutes of 60 seconds jogging and 90 seconds of walking. That's the first week, anyway.

MY MOST SINCERE APOLOGIES TO THE GROUP FOR NOT HAVING WEIGHED IN.

We had out of town guests and I didn't even have time to WI. That being said, I came in here today and I am disappointed at how poorly we did. I may have just made myself the sacrificial lamb for saying that, but I am just wondering---WHERE DID WE GO WRONG?

We had a great loss last week and this week it seems as if everyone just let themselves go. I am not placing blame. I am simply making an observation and trying to come up with a solution.

I can tell you where I went wrong--and by the way, I maintained. No gain and no loss, which to me is a successful week. For starters, I didn't exercise and I didn't watch what I ate. Although I am doing better in the sense that I am not mindlessly snacking, I wasn't watching either my portions OR I wasn't making the best choices at every meal, as I should have.

I had a rough week last week, but as of today, I am no longer employed (by choice of course). This means I am out of excuses for not exercising and/or eating right. GRANTED, I do have a lot of lunch and dinner dates, BUT my mission for the week is to FINALLY get to ONEDERLAND....which was also my goal for last week.

In order to get to ONEDERLAND, I must lose more than 4 lbs. and to get there I will do the following:

I will exercise for at least 30 minutes every single day.
I will try to stay as close to SB as possible (with all the lunches and dinners we have planned before our big move, it becomes almost impossible to be on program 100% of the time, but I WILL do my absolute best). I will carefully study the menu and choose the best option. I know that I will have Chinese food this week and when this happens, I will exercise a bit more to offset the food, plus I will stick to ONE serving, in other words, NO SECONDS!

This is my plan and I am sticking to it. If everyone has any suggestions, please send them my way. ALSO please don't serve my head on a platter for pointing out that we did poorly this week and that we need to look inside ourselves to figure out where we went wrong and FIX it this week. May this past week serve us a time to learn and may this new week bring us an opportunity to move forward and onward to our GOALS!

I think we all know that the past week wasn't the best for us. I am doing what I can to make things better this week. I went to the dr this morning to see if there is something medically wrong with me...because I am not doing that poorly on eating and I have been working out and I am going nowhere but creeping up. So fingers crossed. (not that I want something to be wrong) but I want an explanation.....I am hoping it is something easy.
