Tammy...thanks for your kind comments. I feel at home here on Buddyslim and here with our team of Rockstars. I mean, although I didn't struggle with weightloss as a kid or even a young adult, now that I am past my 20's and into my 30's it helps to know there are people out here looking out for healthy ways of living and willing to help and educate those of us that need it all. I am happy to be a part of this family and am thankful everyday that I found everybody here.

October 12th

Ok here goes me.

I have never been overweight until now. All threw my childhood I was small and even into my adulthood I maintained a 130 to 135 lbs up until a year ago. I am bi-polar and my doctor put me on a new medicine. Then I went out of town on an extended vacation to my moms. (I needed it, I had been to hell and back) I did not notice but I was quickly gaining weight. And no one around me had the guts to tell me so. So when I came back my husband to be let me know right away that I had put on weight. So I went to my normal doctor and stepped on the scale and let me tell you I was shocked I was 160 lbs. Now to some that may not seem like a lot of weight to put on but I gained 30 lbs in 3 months. That is 10 lbs a month. Well ever since then I have been struggling to get the weight off. You know it goes on easier than it comes off. I have done fad diet and stupid workout tapes which made me feel like a fool so I would stop doing them. I have a mat and a workout ball which I never use. I have done all that I thought I could do and almost gave up then I found this site. It has done wonders for me. I have stuck to my diet.... well for the most part my son was here for 3 weeks and I kind of fell off the wagon and put the weight back on that I had lost. Well now I am back on track and taking this whole weight loss thing seriously. I want to be back down to where I was before the medicine and all. I would like to be there before my one year wedding anniversary but I am not pushing myself. But I do have 4 months to get down to a decent weight. My husband is holding off on giving me my birthday gift until I lose the weight cause I want all new clothes. I will have what I feel like is a new wardrobe when I can get into my old clothes cause I have a ton of them.

Well that is my bio. The most important thing to remember about me is not my weight, not my illness but my heart.
