REST AND RELAXING TODAY!!!!! WOOOOOHOOOOOO!!! OMG, (haha), today is the first day since umm....May 29th, that I've had the day off completley. Needless to say, when I got home at 4:45am from Game 2, I was a bit tired. However, now it's 8:37am and I'm awake, WHAT THE HECK!?!?! Ok, so when my wife woke up for work, it kinda woke me up, plus Salem needed to eat breakfast. Seeing as how he lacks the basic capability to open the can, dish out the food, oh yeah, and EAT IT, Daddy had to wake up (at least for now).

The good news on the kitten front (I feel like this is a rollercoaster) is yesterday for the first time EVER he ate 3 meals!!!! A sizeable breakfast, an ok lunch, and a good sizeable dinner!!!! So far today, he's eaten a great breakfast...keeping my fingers crossed for lunch/dinner as that's always like hitting the lottery. That is the good side, the not to good side is he's still acting lathargic and not being his playfull self. I have to call the vet again to see what's up and if they want to see him yet again...he spends almost as much time there as at home. I'll be sure to keep everybody posted.

The game last night was another great one. I knew this series would be exciting and it is not dissapointing. I still say it's not as good as our series with Detriot (right Jeffery), but you really can't complain about Lakers vs. Celtics NBA Finals...it's historic. Some interesting facts I've learned are that in the 61 NBA Championships, The Celtics and Lakers combine for a total of 30 of those titles, they have met 10 times prior to now, in the 1980's they combined for 9 out of 10 years of winning the NBA Championship. It's actually kinda interesting stuff. I am not a big basketball fan persay, but I am a big Celtics fan anyway.

Ok, I am tired again (or still) not really sure...but I'm gonna try to take a little catnap...haha, no pun intended. Ok, now I'm getting silly....time to sleep a bit. I'll be back on later today.

Keep on Rockin' everybody, congrats to our great team success this week. Everybody did a Rockin' Rockstar job with their goals! Oh yeah, believe it or not, during work last night, I had an extended break and was able to take a one hour walk around Boston...a REAL walk too...not just a stroll. Although I was really sweaty when I got back to work, I felt good cause I hadn't gotten to walk in a long time!

Gina, you had a great week last week in spite of the trials and tribulations you had to go through and I think it was a confidence builder in your ability to leap tall building, sick kiddos, bad weather, flooded basements, visiting relatives and birthday parties! This week should be a breeze! Great goals!

Hey I'm not getting any packing done but I signed off and checked my mail. I found these tips in a news blurb from Jillian, the trainer I love to hate LOL, and I thought they were great so I wanted to share them.

"Get your friends together for a salad party. Yeah, sounds dumb, but it's actually fun! Everybody brings a few parts to a salad and the nutritional value on a note card. You set it all up, and build your salads! You can try and incorporate a nice group walk beforehand! If this is works, it might actually replace the standard dinner at a fattening restaurant with the girls every week.
Hit the library and sign up for a card! There are tons of cookbooks there! I hate buying one and only liking one recipe. You can test out a bunch and copy down recipes you like! I found one book that has 400 calories or less for each recipe in the book! Make sure you check out books that have the nutritional breakdowns though. Makes life much easier. Plus, library time gets you away from your busy life for 30 minutes or so!

Check the internet to see if there are walking clubs in your neighborhood. Most larger cities have something similar. You'll meet new people and have company while you walk.

I'm going on a cruise in June, so I've got a coffee can on top of the fridge...for every pound I lose, I drop $2.50 into the can. With the money, I will buy a nice piece of jewelry while on my trip!

If you haven't started working out, put on sneakers right now, and walk out the door! It's that easy. Just do 15 minutes. Every two days, add 5 minutes to your walk. In no time, you'll be zipping around your block!

I love the salad party idea!

I'm already a library hound. It's one of the most favorite things I do for myself, it's cool, it's quiet and relaxing, and you learn soooo much! Plus you can cruise all the latest copies of the mags or just sit down and read an entire issue for free! Can't beat that!

Now the sneakers are on and I headed out the door for the walk!

See you FABO Rockstars later!

Josh, glad little buddy is eating better and hopefully that energy gain will soon translate into more than just restoration of his little body but his interest in beating up his daddy! They are so cute, well, until they learn to run up your leg whether you are wearing pants or not! That's not real cute!LOL You are in for some real kitty surprises!

What a Rockstar, you get an hour off in your grueling workday and you take a good walk. Proud of you fellow!

This blog is in response to a very caring blog sent to me today by Roxi encouraging me to participate in weighing in weekly. Therefore encouraging me with the weight loss.

Thank you I have been doing it I dropped 1 and 1/2 sizes since last winter. I did so because (In My Case) no scale means no discouragement which means for me, motivation to continue. Everyone must do what it is that motivates them and works for them. As I have said in the past, I have read far too many blogs about the (monster), the scale, being a source of despair when the numbers in your mind and those on the metal differ greatly. I am one of those individuals. I am well aware of the medical necessity to monitor weight by professionals assisting their patients with weight loss, health issues period! and I am the first one to encourage it. I too have my routine physicals at which time I get weighed also. I feel that when something is working for you keep doing it and when it is not, you are discouraged all the time, release it, look for other methods to succeed that do not cause you frustration and despair thusly causing stress a well known factor in weight gain. I hope and pray someday that BS will encourage the monitoring of weight loss through inches also and not only via the scale. You see, to lose substantial inches requires substantial physical activity keeping a well rounded balance between healthy nutrition and exercise, requiring both aspects to get consistent weight loss results. I feel the monster does not encourage me enough even when I like the numbers I see on it because it does not tell me how tone I am becoming and how many inches I have lost which is a huge source of encouragement for me.Thank you Roxi for caring so much and encouraging me to do the weight loss thing! but no can do if I want to continue to be motivated to lose the inches thusly the weight. I do not want to be a disappoint to my team so If my issues with not routinely weighing in is a detriment to all of you or a source of frustration or both, I will resign as a member just let me know guys okay? I truly understand you. I will be here for all of you however (everyone) if and when you need and want my moral support. I know I should blog more on this forum but it is important for me to try and reach everyone I can (by answering many blogs every day) from members and non members who need and want my moral support also. Congratulations! everyone! on the super weight loss this week I am so incredibly proud of all of you, keep up the hard work. Holly have a wonderful cruise, they are so much fun. Get those healthy snacks packed in your suitcase though, those buffets are brutal! Luv Ya! sista! Linda
