Hey!! I would love to join this!! I've actually been walking but this week I kind of fell apart in the exercise departament.. I do love to walk though. How do I know how many miles I walk/jog outside? A pedometer?
This really sounds great!! I'd love to be a part of it!

Hello everyone! I was reading this forum and I think it sounds very motivating! I'm not sure that I can do 5 miles but i think I might ba able to do at the least three.I do alot of walking and lifting at work so some days I barely can walk when I get off. I will also count my elliptical in too. Well i'm off to kick boxing for 45 minutes , does that count?K, be back....after class.

Stacey, it's a bummer that malls in your area are outdoor. Can you go to Nordstrom and walk there? It's a fairly large store... I can see that you are very motivated. So happy for you Stacey. Omron pedometers are the best. Good luck in finding one.

Zina, I don't count inside miles either. Only on a treadmill and walking outside.

Don, great job on adding a ticker. Yes, it is a challenge to incorporate walking into your DAILY routine for three weeks. You can do it!

Marie and Dawn, welcome to the challenge. The secret of creating a new habit is consistency. Dawn, if you want to commit to three miles a day EVERY day, it's great. It's up to you to decide what to count. You can count steps like Annia who uses a pedometer, you can count miles on treadmill or elliptical, or walking outside like Don, Zina, Lara, and I. It is really up to you as long as you commit to your goal for three weeks.

FYI: 2000 steps equal one mile if you use a pedometer.

I just discovered what Don put on his ticker. He is AFRAID that I am trying to KILL him. Oy. Worry not Don.

OMG I get here and you guys have 4 pages already? Hi everybody. I want to lose 15 pounds. I am walking 3 miles a day. My goal is 3 miles a day. Anything else is gravy.

Tatiana has me doing an extra mile in the morning and at night. So far, I am up to 4 miles. My goal is 5 miles a day.

Tatiana, you're tough! But I love ya. Hi Zina, and everyone else!!

I LOVE my Nike+ iPod for keeping track of miles and calories. It is much more accurate than any pedometer I have tried, and I have tried plenty of them. It is a little receiver that goes in your shoe.

Happy to be here. Thanks everyone!!!!

Hi I got 11,104 steps for exercise today. That's 5.5 miles for me. I didn't count the walking at the carnival tonight just the walking I did for this challenge. Wow what a group of motivated people. Remember keep at your goal every day for 21 days. We can do this....
Welcome to all the new walkers.

I just finished the other challenge today. So do I count those miles towards this too or just start with my miles for this challenge tomorrow? Let me know.
