Hey Cats- great job everybody on the weigh in! Let's get that trophy back this week! TOM will be over for me tomorrow so hopefully I will still have time to get rid of a nasty old pound or two this week! Did my first workout with Jillian- I have a feeling I'm going to be sore later today! Hey, I have a question for you: I've always heard that you are not supposed to do strength training every day, rather every other day in order to allow your muscles to rest- as far as you know, is this info correct? Thanks and I'll be on later!!

You can do strength training everyday as long as you are alternating your muscle groups. For instance, do your upper body on Mon, Wed, and Fri and do your lower body Tues, Thurs and Sat. That's if you really want to do it everyday. If you're ok with going every other day than do the full body everytime. You definitely do want to give your muscles rest, so you don't want to work the same ones everyday. Hope this helps!!

Ok I am doing a video that concentrates on lower body and I have been doing it every day. Should I be alternating days with it then?? Probably. Thanks, just what I needed, an excuse not to do that video every day, lol I will just have to start doing an upperbody routine on those other days.

GREAT JOB Wildcats!!!! Way to go everybody!! Lets really work this week and get that trophy back!!

Yes, you should definitely alternate it every other day! You'll overwork the muscles, and not see any results, or see minimal results.

Thanks for the info- I will have to find a way to fit in Jillian on the days I also do my 5 mile WATP- since they both use handweights. I could do the 5 miles in the AM and Jillian in the PM. I had thought that would be the case.

Hmmmm, I wonder if that is why I am so sore, maybe I should alternate it?

I definitely would! I've always been told by trainers to alternate days of muscle groups!
