Can get some input on being on a team for the new people or ones who are interested in a team? Thanks!

Hi! I have been a member of the Wildcats for a couple of months now. I have built a wonderful rapport with my team mates and I really appreciate it because they aren't afraid to give me constructive critisism.

To me, being on the team isn't just a chance to be competitive but a place I can get to know others, check out their plans, and get strength training ideas. We also do an optional accountability thing each day where we hold ourselves and each other accountable for sticking to plan. This has also given me some great meal ideas, some wonderful exercise tips, and the support I have needed to stick to this lifestyle change.

One of the other things I like about being on the Wildcats is the two forums. The serious forum is for accountability and plan ideas whereas the cheer forum is a great place to let loose and be yourself without worrying about offending someone.

The forums are alot like the rest of the Buddyslim site, you get out what you put into it. You don't have to post in forums to be a member of the team, but it helps team members get to know you and how they can be the best support to you.

If you are interested in joining a team and have a competitive nature I would encourage you to see which team fits right for you and jump on board! We would be glad to have you!!

I agree with Anj. I love the accountability and knowing others are working out hard with me. Makes you feel like you aren't all by yourself!

I love the idea of when I am really having to tough it out, diet or exercise wise, I just think I have alot of people on our team depending on me and doing it with me. Is like having all of you right there with me> Sure keeps me on plan. I think if my team is working so hard, then I can too!

i am more motivated and i love the fact that everyone is so supportive.
it is sort of like a competition becouse there are different teams but really we are all in it together.

I agree, we are all in this together, makes it fun, not intimidating. I look forward to checking in with my team, and have made some awesome friends in all the teams!

Great to see you are interested in a team Cynthia! I am a Wildcat the whole way through and while I can't speak for any of the other teams, I'm sure they wouldn't mind if you check out each of their forums (Wildcats serious, Wildcats cheer, rockstars, diamonds and fitness fanatics...sorry if I missed any) to see which one you think you would fit best in. I can tell you from the Cats to feel free to check out the forum, post any questions you might have, talk to some of the members, whatever you would like. Welcome to buddyslim!

Hello, I am a HEARTBREAKER. We're one of the younger teams-- but don't let that fool you!

I like the fact that with our team we not only focus on losing weight, but being healthy. We often share things we've read about different foods and ingredients to let others be aware of what they are actually eating. We also focus on staying healthy, being active, and the fact that this is a life time commitment to changing.

I also like that we've such a variety of people who participate-- it helps you realize that everyone struggles and needs help in this battle.
