Yvette, sorry to hear about your issues with the ex. I hope things are better today.

Christine, ahhh, so sad your boys are sick and it's stressing you out. As I don't have children I don't know what you are going through but I do sympathize with you. You're a great mom and wife to take care of your family and still be here for us.

Rebecca, glad you are feeling better. So this weekend you'll have some me time as you don't have your usual full plate.

Robyn, girl, I am so there with you. Today is a new day and a chance to do it again.

Sooooooo, I made it back to the gym for 1/2 an on the Elliptical. BUT again, 2nd day in a row, I get home eat a light dinner, then because it's there in the pantry, I made a bowl of chips, then a small bowl of cereal. OK, thought I'm not hungry....took a nap...then I get up at 8pm, ate the same food AGAIN. God, I don't know why I couldn't resist. As I'm eating the food I'm hating myself but I couldn't stop. The only positive thing - I didn't have a midnight craving.

I got up a bit late but still made it to my 5:45am Kickboxing class. I feel good. I think I'll go back for another kickboxing class tonight or yoga - not sure yet, it depends on my schedule with Rodney and how I feel. Not to worry as I have a workout session set for tomorrow morning.

You would think with all the exercising that I do I would lose more weight each week but I haven't. The upside to all of this, I may not be losing weight, but I have lost a lot of fat. I am back to a medium and 95% of my clothes fit. Clothes purchased within the last 2 months are too big. I am very close to what my '06 figure.

I swear, sometimes I feel like giving up and just eat eat eat.
AHHHHHHH....don't give up and eat eat eat! You've come too far for that! You know, we put so much into what the scale says and we shouldn't. Especially when we know our clothes are looser and our body is looking damn hot (you Nancy, not me - he he)! You are an inspiration to a lot of us not just because you are a workout fanatic (you are a Fitness Fanatic after all!) but because you are human, normal and you make the same mistakes we all do. I know how frustrating it is to keep eating the stuff we know is bad but can't seem to stop. Just keep at it and that will pass.

My husband is lucky and has a 4 day weekend... not me, same ol same ol 2 days off One of the negatives of public safety... someone always has to be there. Oh well. I woke up at 2am today, for no reason... just layed there until 430 when I needed to get up. My sons are both sick, and my oldest might need to be tested for diabetes. Male juvenile diabetes runs in my family (although I didn't know that until a few months ago, it came from a grandfather that I don't speak to because he is a dirtbag) Anyway... Colby's been shaking every morning when he wakes up until he eats. He gets super grumpy when he is hungry, and is always better once he eats. SO we will see. Both boys are supposed to get shots today, but since they are sick I don't know if they will get them or not. So far we've been lucky and Colby hasn't had an asthma attack with this cold, he usually does. Keep your fingers crossed that he doesn't for us! The poor little man is having enough of a hard time right now! Anyway, I am feeling stressed out about him right now, worrying about weather or not I will have to give him daily shots and all that... but I've kept on track anyway this week. I am still maintaining at 159, hoping to lose it by tomorrow. We shall see. Well that's it for me now... hope you all have a great friday!!

Wow Christine,
I recently become worried about my 4 year old son possibly having diabetes too. His grandfather and great grandfather have it... He has been urinating frequently and complains of tingling in his feet. He also has dry itchy skin occasionally. Hopefully it is nothing, but I do have to call his pediatrician up and have some blood tests done. I hope everything works out for your child and family.

I think I'm in real trouble. I am still up from last week. I can't believe I gained 2.5 pounds from going out one night. I didn't even eat that badly. A little bad. Nothing I thought would even come close to that. If I can gain that much by eating so little I don''t know if I'll ever be able to get this off and keep it off. I was so sure that I could do a life style change that would keep me on track and still allow for the occasional eating out. Now i'm not so sure.

I have been fighting the Diet Pepsi urge all week. I know it's just because i'm bummed about the weigh in. Hoping for miracles I was only up 1.5 this morning so doing extra today to try and at least maintain.

Jaci, you have been doing so well. Don't be so hard on yourself it could not have been one meal out that gained you 2 pounds! It just is not possible it is more likely attributed to water retention or hormones. That has happened to me to before and I got so down on myself. Just keep watching what you eat as you have been and it will balance out that is what I have learned. Journal it all or make mental notes everytime you stick anything in your mouth. I felt the same way a couple weeks ago especially when I was working out 1 hour + each day and eating small amounts and I could not get below 144. I figured maybe I can't get below that number, but now I lost 3 pounds this week so I know it was just hormonal or things were happening too fast for my body and it slowed down my metabolism to counteract it.. Also, the muscle I have been forming doesn't help with the numbers going down on the scale. You will go down again our bodies are just weird like that!

Nancy, don't you dare give up! You have been doing phenomenal! The proof is 95% of your clothes are fitting. It is one thing to just lose weight, but you are doing it in such a healthy way you are toning too and building muscle so you cannot look at it the same as someone who is strictly just losing weight. Also, I have been going though the same thing as you a few weeks ago I was up to 2 hours (sometimes more) of working out each day and I was losing but who can do that consistently?? Anyway, I stopped working out that much because I don't feel I should have to... I continued to strenously work out 1-1/2 hours a day and then the eating started because it is natural to just become more hungry when working out your body does need more calories. The key of course is to eat foods high in protein and try to avoid carbs ( I am the same way when I am pmsing I crave chips all the time). My point is though that when you work out alot and then get hungry and eat bad foods alot of the time I think it is hormonal and when hormones are in the mix it prevents some of our self control to avoid eating those no-no foods. I do feel it will balance out though and very soon again you will lose a few pounds again as soon as the cravings from hormones are under check.. Woman do not have it easy!! Well that is my take on it as I felt the same as you and I told my husband I should just give up I can't get to the 130s anymore. Now I realize that I am hard on myself when I don't see results, but just take for granted when I am losing. It will happen just keep doing what you are doing.
