[quote=12512;90698]Good Morning Everyone! Welcome Samantha - glad to have you on the team!

Nathan decided to wake up at 2:30 a.m. ready to play. I surely didn't need that. Put him down around 5:00 a.m. and he is still sleeping so I am catching up on this site. I'm still feeling bad. Guess I'll have to break down and go to the doctor but I really don't want to. Kyle has a baseball game tonight at 7:30 which means we won't be back until around 9:30 or 10:00. I guess it doesn't matter since it is has last day of school today so he doesn't have to get up early tomorrow. [quote]

Oh I hope you feel better soon! The last thing you needed was for the little one to wake up WAY too early! ICK! It always seems to happen when you are sick, or didn't sleep the night before or something... it's like they know. LOL. I hope he sleeps better for you tonight. Good for you for still setting an alarm!!! I would be the lazy one, and sleep ing LOL... Hope you have a better day!

I don't know what is wrong with the quote section in the forum... but for any one who doesn't know, my response was to Rebecca... computers are annoying today!

Hi everyone,

Welcome Samantha it is nice to have a new team member!

I did well yesterday even managed to squeeze in a brownie since my calories were so low and I lost 2 pounds!!! I worked it yesterday as I did some weights (not too many anymore because of all the muscle I am forming) then I did a 9 minute warm up work out on a bike and then 1 hour on the elipticals. Plus some squats, 250 crunches, some lower ab work and 90 jumping jacks. Today I have pilates and spinning so I hope to maybe lose another pound if I am lucky by weigh in and I will also reach my mini goal then! I am so sycked as I was stuck at the same weight for it would have been 3 weeks Friday. I was working out too. Eating and that time of the month can do that... Well I wish everyone else luck reaching their goals too!

Yea Luka, I have no problem eating mini lunches it is the late night that usually gets me.

Today I did it again oatmeal in the morning and I will have a cottage cheese for lunch. Tonight will probably be the same meal of a veggie burger and veggies plus salad. I usually add avocado to give me some fat content and satisfy cravings... I may lose another pound by tomorrow if I can stick to it.

Personally, my ball sits a little lower then my normal chair; but ergonomically speaking its ok. It was awkward at first but I mentally adjusted. But then again I'm short and according to the chart below I should be using a smaller ball. I'm 5'3" and my ball is a 65cm one. You should purchase the ball according to the size recommended for your height. How tall are you?

Below is a chart I found that may help you decide the right size.

What Size is Right for Me?
The size of exercise balls varies. Physical therapists suggest using an exercise ball that fits each person's height and leg length, where the hips and knees are at or slightly greater than a 90 degree angle (thighs parallel to ground or point down slightly) with feet flat on the floor. It is best to work with a physical therapist or other spine specialist for a proper fit before using or purchasing an exercise ball.

Your Height
Ball Size

5' 3" and under
53 cm

5' 4" to 5' 10"
65 cm

5' 11" to 6' 4"
75 cm

6' 5" and over
85 cm

Thanks Nancy for the info - I may try something as crazy as that. I just don't want to spend the money on it if it is something that I won't use because it is uncomfortable....

I love cottage cheese for lunch too! I usually have a couple of wheat thins, or veggies with it though. Yum!!

That's my problem too, I am too worried it will be uncomfortable, and then I wouldn't use it... and it would be a waste of money... and I am too cheap! Can't help it.

Yeah, me too! I just can't bear to spend like $60.00 on something that I may not use, but it does sound cool. I wish I could get it as a gift or something...

You are doing awesome girl! Keep it up! All your hard work is paying off and you deserve it.

My kids are actually taking a nap at the same time so I might just go join them. I think if I can sneak in a couple hours maybe I'll feel better when I wake up. Maybe? It is raining now so hopefully my son's game will be cancelled tonight. I would never tell him that but just crossing my fingers. He got his report card today and he made all A's and B's. I'm so proud of him. We've had a bit of trouble with him in the past but we put a lot of work into him and he has really been improving. Teacher said he was a good example for the other kids - making good grades, being on the BETA club and playing sports. Made me proud. I can't believe he'll be in the seventh grade next year. Scary.

just want to blow off some steam. I am so so sooooooo mad. my day started out good. still staying on plan till my hubbies ex wife strated to ruin him. she lies and is dishonest and joe is just 10. now she draggs him in to it and it hurts me so much, then she personally attact me by saying that that little boy was first and that he should have been budget in my husbands life. but there is so much that was agreed on before we even had kids and now all of a sudden she is wanting to change that. it seems now that we can't even afford to have him here this summer becouse of her. i am just shaking so much. i want to cry so bad. my husbands hart is broken and Joe called me and i could not even hear what he is saying becouse he is crying so hard.
wish i could do something. It just hurts.
