sorry guys..im also new to this site ..and after not being able to find a group to join...i decided to try and start my own...its like the blind leading the blind...but, if you all want to give it a shot we can do it! i didnt realize i had to actually check the forum for any replies...i thought that it would come to my in box..(oops. thats why it has taken so long for me to read this ..i thought nobody had replied!) okay well im going to go ahead and start this thing up the best i know how...so lets start by adding eachother as buddies so we can get to know eachother...

i am not following a "diet"..i do try to eat fresh veggies, fruits, and hi fiber cereals...and stuff...and i drink lots of water...
im working out at the gym...mostly on the eliptical and treadmill for now in fat burn mode (keeps heart rate where it should be to burn fat) i am able to do more now than i have ever been able to do...on those two machines...anyhow...i want us to keep our food journals as often as possible, and atleast track our time working out and what we did...(treadmill etc..) i dont have time to put in all of the cutesy things that they have on there...like laundry etc...

drink lots of water and encourage one another... are you in?
and to top it all off....I WILL PICK A WINNER EACH MONTH AND THEY WILL RECEIVE A SPECIAL GIFT IN THE MAIL FROM ME! lets say the 8Th starts our month....so next month on the 8th will you be the winner?

to win you must show some sort of progress, you must work out (preferably atleast 3 days a week) you must make wise decisions when eating, drinking etc....you must encourage eachother and believe in your self!
you dont have to lose the most weight but, you do have to work as hard as YOU possibly can to get yourself in shape...and to stay that way. Its a lifestyle change.

if you dont have a pic up lets try to get before pics put up..this week....how about a full body pic front and side profile...so we can see the dramatic changes in all of us.....(that includes me- im not extremely computer literate...i have a mac now and have not completely figured it out...and im not a fan of the camera...yikes..) okay so
i will send you an email so you know who i am ....IM READY!

**YOUR HOMEWORK?

3) do some research or some soul searching. - what is making you fat? soda, sugar, overeating...lack of exercise? blog about it, send it to me or to the forum
4) what changes are you GOING to make to get healthy and in shape?

oh yea and get moving! do something active today for atleast 30 minutes! i sent everyone a request to add me to their buddy list...i was not able at the time to type ( i think that my 2 year old messed up my other keyboard-oops..but, when i get a chance later on today i will send you all a little booster ...until then im going to get my house cleaned up, feed my kids, go to the gym, have a Fab Friday Celebration, and then go all night lazer tagging and skating with my oldest and her youth group! but, first i need to make a business call (my husband and i run our own Granite countertops business on the side) MAKE IT AN AMAZINGLY WONDERFUL DAY!

all right people...i havent heard back from anyone yet....(i have been busy too...went all night lazer tagging, skating and much much more with 70+ middle schoolers (youth group outing) it was amazing..did lots of running around and stayed active all night!

i would like to see your answers to your homework questions...please try to post this asap....we are all in this together..we can help and encourage one another...and we are going to have to be honest with ourselves ...lets try to get those answers in...i will post my answers first..on the next post..immediately after this one.

lets focus on: water intake (we have to drink lots of water!)
staying active- get off the couch, get moving a little more
everyday !
and being aware of what food goes into our mouths...dont over indulge, stay away from junk foods, eat more fresh fruit and veggies and whole grains...less processed food the better..

any good recipes? healthful, helpful tips? lets share...

* what is making me fat? i have got to find out how to actually sweat! its so hard to make myself sweat...i have to move more, eat more veggies and fruits, and stop eating so late at night. I dont drink sodas, coffee, or tea...i only drink water and some carrot etc..juices. So that is not a problem for me...but, i do need to more during the day...sometimes i will go most of the day without eating...and i think that my body is holding on to the fat because its starving....(make sense?) so make sure you eat healthy small meals throughout the day...

I have made a promise to myself that I am going to commit to going to the gym no less than 3 times a week...if for some reason that were not possible..i had better get out a work out video to do here at the house....i have been working on the eliptical and the treadmill mostly...i think that is going to help me greatly... i have also enrolled my girls in the kids fitness and i believe that with the whole family involved it will also help...keep me focused... i rarely bring junk food into my house...i would decide what was a temptation for you and decide not to bring it in to your house....its okay to indulge sometimes...but, dont over do it....if doritos are your weakness dont buy a huge bag...buy a snack size bag .....you will be alright...

learn to read labels....and do research...find out what partially hydrogenated oils will do to you...find out what high fructose corn syrup will do.....read about trans fats etc...share your knowledge.....lets help eachother!

i know that i write way too much ..im sorry i hope to get better about limiting my words and organizing my words better...but i had to say something...

this win (of getting in shape and staying that way) starts in our head...we have to think thin ...and think like we are in shape and we have to be happy with ourselves .....because we know what we are capable of...and we know that we are going to do it ...THIS TIME!

if you dont have a couple of nice outfits (something that you look and feel good in) go get something....( i have to do this as well- im tired of wearing fat people clothes!) even though we are overweight doesnt mean we have to look homely....you know? and if you feel good wearing some make up...and you dont have any...lets get some! if you are in need of a new hair do...lets do it.... you dont have to go all out and spend alot of money....hair cuttery and fantastic sams (which arent the best but, they will do) are only about 12 bucks...we are so worth it. we have to feel good about ourselves...or we will keep losing this battle...
