You up for a challenge?
Take your pick!

Choice #1 - Lying Single Leg-Raises - Do 3 sets of 12 for each leg.

Starting Position
Lie on back with right leg straight and left leg bent so foot is flat on the ground. Relax head and neck on mat or ground. Arms should be placed to your side.
Action
Lift right leg to the top of the left knee, keeping the right leg straight. Hold for 2 seconds and return to starting position. Complete number of repetitions and alternate.
Special Instructions
Perform in a slow and smooth motion.
Muscles Worked: Quads

Choice #2 - Bicycle Crunches - 2 sets of 60 seconds

Starting Position
Begin by lying on your back, placing your hands behind your ears. Do not put your hands clasped behind your head. Lift your legs in the air and bend your knees so that your legs form a 90 degree angle.
Action
Move your legs in a bicycle motion. When your left knee is closer to your body, reach your right elbow to it. When your right knee is closer to your body, reach your left elbow to it. Try performing the exercise for 60 seconds in 2 sets.
Special Instructions
None.
Muscles Worked: Abs, Obliques

Choice #3 - 15 mins of dancing! Get your boogie down! Yes, 15 mins of other cardio is fine. But, it would be nice if the Wild Cats got jiggy with it now and then.

Good luck!

Well Buddies i'm feeling a little down right now and stressed it's going to be a hard week for me but i am determined to hit the 180's this week. my plans are to do all 3 challenges today unless the bicycles kill me first... LOL. do weights tonight and my lower body workout (squats and lunges with the resisitance band. tonight is my ab night too. honestly i do not know how many times i will get to the gym this week due to my situation (those of you who have read my blog know whats up) and i thank you for all the encouredgement. but i found this awsome workout on my ondemand cable that i did a few times this weekend that really works up a asweat so my promise is to up the weights and abs, do as many challenges as possible, stay op with eating and if i don't make it to the gym to my workout at home. 2 pounds baby thats all i need.

My plan for the week is the same as always. 1200-1500 calories a day, 80-120 oz. of water and my nightly 24-32 oz. of diet green tea. For exercise, at least 40 minutes of strength training and at least an hour of cardio each day. And no eating three hours before bed time! I will also make it a point to get on here to see what our challenges are and do at least two each day.
Today I am going to do #1 & #2.

Julie-Just take it one day at a time. Get to the gym when you can! I absolutely love the on demand workouts. I do them when I cant get to the gym or to add in a quick workout. I usually do the one of the ab workouts from there each day. Plus the exercise this week will help you stay focused and relieve some stress with everything going on! You can do it!!!
