Default Help Needed

Hey Hotties,

I need some help on switching up the routine on my treadmill and maybe adding some weights in. I am looking for another good week so any pointers my fellow Hotties can give me will be appreciated. I need to lose at least 5 pounds this week. HELP

How often are you on the treadmill? Like how many times during the week and for how long do you stay on it?.

In my opinion Vanessa, that treadmill is your friend. Just keep doing that. I started there and I\'m still there! Just master that speed and make sure you are walking briskly and sweating. Now I don\'t mean a total drip down exhausted sweat. And, then work on up\'ing the intensity. I like the time your spending on it too. If you do weights, add it on but don\'t take away any of the time your doing on the treadmill. I think if you keep that up and increase intensity every week or every so often, you will see a loss. .

I too use the treadmill now. At first I was just walking outside, but I find I really like the treadmill because I can change the incline and watch my distance, calories burned, and whatnot.

When I first started walking, I started out around 2.2 mph and have worked my way up now to 3.0-3.5 for each walking session.

I think that the key to using a treadmill successfully is to do what works for you. But, you don\'t want to get to comfortable at your current pace/distance. You need to get hot and sweaty, all while feeling good about it, if you know what I mean.

Stay at the pace you\'re at now, but work it up a little bit each week. For instance, do 2.2-2.5 for the majority of the walk but about halfway through up it to 2.7 and keep that pace up as long as you can before dropping it back down to 2.2-2.5. Even if it\'s only for 30 seconds, do it. You will find that you will slowly build your way up and your workout will get more intense while you\'re building your endurance.
