[t]Cloty, if Im not mistaken, for a woman you can go as low as 1200 for healthy weight loss. So, I think its 1200 - 1500. Plus, I looked it up for my husband last night and his minimum is 1500 and thats a starting poing for a man.[/t]WW.a Dr.Told me according to my hight and weight 1600 cals.I can\'t do that. That is more than I eat now.So I stay between 1200-tops1400.Remember the math. They start you out high till you stop losing weight. Then they lower you down.Do Not start at 1200.Where would you go from there? Do the 1200/1400 see how you do.If you go to low you wont lose.Try a number out for you and see how your body likes it.If you are tired not enough. If you gain.-Too Much!Find a spot that your body can lose. Then keep it there for about a month or till you stop losing weight. Then lower is 25/50cals for the rest of the month.Good luck..

You are right Jane. Like 1200 was a number I used personally. And someone told me to shoot for that number. But, now I don\'t even really look at calories anymore. I have logged so much, that I already know what\'s going to keep me under. And, I just eat when I\'m hungry and take in healthy snacks throughout the day. Like for my weight and height, the calorie number was too high for me. I was eating stuff even when I wasn\'t hungry in order to try and get all those calories in and that didn\'t make sense to me. Still doesn\'t.

Jane & WW - I agree with the calorie count thing. I\'ve been sticking to 1200-1500 even though I\'ve been told for my weight and height I should be eating more. To me that is retarded. I am currently eating like a normal person should be, I never go hungry, am always satisfied because I\'m eating every three hours. It\'s all a matter of finding the balance that works for you, as long as it\'s healthy of course.

Nikki - I think that it\'s awesome you\'re going to be running in that 10k in honor of you aunt!

For my plan of action this week, same old same old, since I change things up from day to day and it\'s working so good still:

Calories: 1200-1500 each day while eating good foods, not empty calories. Also, VERY important, I will continue to not eat anything during the three hours before bed time.

Water- Continue drinking my 80 + oz. a day...I\'m actually up around 100 oz. a day now. I have a water with me constantly, literally. And on top of that, I will continue drinking my 2-3 glasses of diet green tea each evening.

Exercise - Begin each morning with 40 minutes strength training (monday, tuesday, friday and saturday I do them with resistance on 3; wednesday & thursday I do them on 4. Every day of the week my resistance for my crunches and side crunches is set to 7). Each day around noon-ish I\'ll get in 20-30 minutes cardio by alternating my \"Biggest Loser\" dvd workout, and a workout on my elliptical bike. Then in the evening I will get in my cardio via a 40 minute treadmill walk.

I hope I\'ve not forgotten anything!

But, you know those numbers are a good place to start if you don\'t have anything to compare it to. Then you tweek it. Before my \"diet\" I was probably eating way over the 1200. Hamburgers, fries and mexican food and on and on. But, when your ready to start, you have to pick some number to start with whatever it may be.
Last night I was looking on line to see how many calories my husband should eat. I had a good idea but I wanted to confirm it. I found a site where I put in his height and weight and it gave me some awful high 2 thousand and something calorie. I thought this is so not right. Gilbert is overweight but he has never been a big eater. Just an eater that ate the wrong foods and no exercise. But, he has never been a snacker or grazer or like that. Just burgers and fries and all that. So, for him to eat 2 thousand plus calories is ridiculous. We would be going backwards!

[/t]WW MY MOM IS NOT A DR.BUT WHAT SHE SAY\'S MAKES SENCE.YOU HAVE TO MOVE IN ORDER TO EAT.IF YOU ARE NOT GETTING YOUR HEART RATE UP DURING THE DAY FOR AT LEAST 30 MIN.THEN YOU CANT HAVE 1500/1600 CALS.IT IS ALL ABOUT THE EXERCISE.IT MAKES YOU LOSE INCHES,WEIGHT.SO GILBERT HAS TO MOVE MORE.HERE IS A TRICK TO CUTTING AT LEAST A HUNDRED CALS FROM YOUR DAY.DO NOT USE THE REMOTE.GET UP AND DOWN!WE ALL HAVE REMOTES FOR EVERTHING!WE ARE ALL LAZY.IT IS PRETTY BAD WHEN YOU HAVE A STORE AROUND THE CORNER AND YOU TAKE THE CAR.NO BODY WALKS USES STAIRS.I YELLED AT MY MOM THE OTHER DAY BECAUSE I WAS TIRED.WE WENT TO TARGET.SHE PARKED AT THE END OF THE LOT!I SEEN SPACES.I KNOW WHY SHE DID IT THOUGH.THAT IS WHY I LOVE HER.WE HAVE TO MOVE PEOPLE!.

Wassup Hotties???
Its only been one day, and I miss you already!! If the old retiree may put in her 2 cents worth......
Everyone single person\'s daily calorie range is different. If you are less active, 1200-1500 is probably good. If you are working out

Hotties this is my plan:
1. Continue to get that excellent advice from Catrina and my fellow Hotiies.
I plan on stepping my game up this week, I am going to continue with the treadmill just do it on an incline and try to do speed intervals(mind you I said try on the speed part). I have added extra cardio in the morning before I head off to work at least 20min(my goal is to do more than 20min)[IMG]http://72.52.
