Thanks Janie, I think you\'re right. I\'m going back to my usual range next week or somewhere close to it. No, my Dr. didn\'t tell me to go down to 1200, I\'m doing things on my own, trial and error. Last time I saw him, a couple months ago, he gave me appetite suppressants. A couple months worth but I only took them 3 weeks and then felt better so I knew I didn\'t need them anymore. I had quit smoking and had gained a lot of weight in 2-months because I had rechanneled my anxiety to eating. After those 3-weeks though, it really helped, I was getting scared because I felt like I was losing control. I stopped taking them like a week before getting on this challenge.

Nikki, My next step is to completly quit smoking. I know that I have cut back, but that is not quitting. I don\'t want to gain and I surely don\'t want anymore pills! What can I do?.

I have tried cold turkey on that and it isn\'t pretty! I get violent! I have used the patches and smoked anyway them my live shut down and was hospitalized for a week. I have tried the gum, YUCK! I am almost just happy with cutting back I know I can do that. My hubby smokes too and that makes it twice as hard..

[t] Nikki, My next step is to completly quit smoking. I know that I have cut back, but that is not quitting. I dont want to gain and I surely dont want anymore pills! What can I do?[/t]Super Sissy, quitting smoking was the hardest thing I\'ve ever done, hands down. My first advice, stay on the challenge. That\'s going to help you stay on track in both quitting and eating. You\'re going to have to be very understanding with yourself. I smoked for 13 years about 2-5 cigs a day unless I went out and then I had half a pack easy. Even though I didn\'t smoke that much, it was still hard to quit. I quit cold-turkey without the patch or gum. That\'s why I didn\'t feel so bad when my Dr recommended the pills. I thought, You know, I didn\'t use anything to help me quit smoking so why not use something to help me get back to the way I ate before I quit??? There\'s no easy answer Sissy and you\'re going to have to be very loving, patient and understanding with yourself. There are days when you\'re going to reach for that chocolate instead of that cigarette (maybe several chocolates) and you\'re going to have to make yourself better when you feel guilty. I quit October 25th and it took this challenge (middle of February) for me to get my bearings back and get back to the way I used to be ~ that\'s almost 6 months. It\'s an adjustment period and you just have to be prepared for it. If you need anything, I\'m here for you. I\'ll know EXACTLY what you\'re going through!
