I am starting to use my weights....feel the burn!!!!!!!!!! I have to watch myself I build muscle way too easy. I have huge calves and it is muscle, my husband says its sexy, but I think they are huge. When I was a teenager we had a weight machine and I could lift over 500 pounds with my legs, I guess that is why the muscle is so big. I used to do that 50 times a day. I can\'t do that now because of my knee. I am starting out with 3 pound weights. I know that is small but I had rather be safe than sorry. Have a great day!!!!

I am short and have huge leg muscles my calves are big too! when I started strength training That is what I started with too and it is not the weight it is the reps that bring on the tone. I still only use small weights because when I lift heavy it causes pain and it builds bulk and I don\'t want bulk. Also if you have worked out any in your life time you know what works and what don\'t so stick with the smaller weights and just keep upping the reps until you get the tone you want and then if you want to add bulk get larger weights. Does that make any sense? .
