Yes, I think logging in your goals or accomplishments is good. That way others can comment on how your doing and make suggestions. We can still cheer each other on here, we just want to keep it light so that our members don\'t have to keep searching through alot of fun jokey stuff to find info. .

You both has some great workouts. Mine will consist of 2 mile runs for 4 days and 1 additional mile of walking. The other 2 days is just walking for 3 miles to give my legs rest (your supposed to only run 4 days a week, so I\'ve read). But, I have up\'d my intensity and I see results already but I\'m gonna wait for the big day (Sunday) before I share them. Otherwise, I\'m still eating right, drinking lots of water.

I also want to give Kudo\'s to Nikki. She didn\'t do her run this morning. But, when I asked her if she would do something tonight, she said yes. She say\'s she never workout at night, but that she would do it this time. I was thrilled. Anyone who does something they normally wouldn\'t do, get\'s me fired up! Especially my no drinking Pepsi friends!

I finally overcame my procrastination and sent an email to the personal training coordinator at my gym. I\'m gonna hire a PT for a couple of sessions to tell me what to do, show me how to use the machines, and correct my form.
I\'m starting to think I\'m not exercising enough. My plan is to do 35 minutes of walking on the treadmill, with a couple of 90 second jogs thrown in to rev up the old heartrate. My walk usually consists of a 3.5mph warmup, about 10 minutes of 4.0 (sometimes with incline), and about 10-15 minutes of 3.5mph hills, with inclines up to 8 or 9. I\'ve done this for the last four days, and want to do it at least 5 times a week, but preferrably every day.
I know I need to add some weight training too. But do y\'all think I need more cardio as well?

I think your plan is really good. Just make sure your walk is intense. Power walking. You could walk for an hour and it not be as good as walking for 30 mins at an intense level. So you need to sweat in your workout. You need to have an intensity where if you were talking with someone, you could but you wouldn\'t want. For me, I am going to stay around my level of workout right now because it\'s working for me and it\'s something I can do well at. When I reach a plateau, then I will change things up differently. .

I want to add my warm ups (streching and bending ) 5 min. even if I am only going for a little walk.
It is so much easier to get the body moving before working it hard.
I found that I have more intense workouts for longer periods.
I am enjoying the advice Hotties! I am really looking at my workouts and putting some feeling into them This is Great!

Thought I\'d tell you all here what my daily calories in & out consist of too. I really enjoy reading what you all do, and Betsy, it sounds like you\'re getting in some GREAT cardio there, I would only recommend more if you feel you need more. I do HIGHLY recommend the weight training to all!

Each morning I start out with a 3 minute half mile warm up on my elliptical bike and then do 40 minutes of weight training. It\'s an all over body workout that I\'ve been told I do like circuit training.

Each evening I walk 2 miles at about 3.02 mph speed, it takes me 40 minutes. I know it doesn\'t sound very intense but believe me, it is for me! I\'ve made huge improvements on my walk these past five weeks. When I first started I was walking 1.2 miles in 40 minutes and after each .4 of a mile I had to stop and take a 5 minute break. I no longer take breaks and have nearly doubled the distance for the amount of time I walk. I do run in little spurts at a time, but can\'t run for any longer then about 10 seconds at a time yet. I WILL continue to improve and WILL be running the full 2 miles and then some, someday!

Here and there throughout the day I\'ve got this round thing that you stand on and twist away the calories. It\'s pretty intense and enjoyable at the same time. I only do that a few times a day for a few minutes at a time.

We had an inground swimming pool put in last summer, I intend to start using that daily also, as soon as it warms up a bit more.

My diet isn\'t really a \"diet\", as I no longer believe in them. But, I do watch my calorie intake, keep it between 1200-1500 each day. I find that it isn\'t hard to do now that I eat only when I am truly hungry and I eat healthy foods now.

Water!! I can\'t put enough emphasis on drinking LOTS of water every day now! I drink 80 oz. at least each day. In the evenings when we\'re sitting around watching tv, I drink a glass of Arizona diet green tea now instead of the diet pepsi I used to drink. For me, soda and alcohol is a big no-no now.

My weight loss goal that I have pledged to the team is 3 lbs a week.

I talk too much, I know, so I will end this now! If you\'ve stuck with me through this all, I thank you! If you couldn\'t bear with me through it all, I don\'t blame you! [IMG]

I love to sweat. Bring it on! I noticed I didn\'t get as good a workout this morning (didn\'t sweat as much or feel as spent) when I used a preprogrammed thing on the treadmill. I push myself harder and ask more of myself than the machine does, so I think I\'ll stick to the manual input!
I am LOVING all this shared advice. I\'ve been searching all over the web for it, so thank you! Keep on talking!
Lennae - I need to do more stretching. I think I\'ll do a bunch at night when I\'m watching TV. Maybe someday I\'ll be able to do the splits, like I\'ve always wanted. [IMG
