On a normal basis, I stay as far away as I can from diet sodas because I used to be highly addicted. In the almost six weeks since I started this, I\'ve had diet soda three times, and each of those times were special occasions. It\'s a plan I\'ve got to stick to, or I know I\'ll be drinking it daily again and I know that is not good for you.

My thoughts on Diet Soda is don\'t drink them. I remember seeing Dr. Oz on Oprah and he had a reason why, but silly me can\'t remember. But, I feel why drink the soda if it has no nutritional value. At least juice gives you good calories and nutrients. And water cleans out the system. But, Diet soda\'s don\'t have any benefit. And the one\'s with Caffeine are the worst because you think the caffeine gives you pep but it really can slow your work out too.

Jane, keep doing your workout. I think it will count this week but I can\'t be 100 percent sure. Because this is the first week of doing this we may have to tweek it a bit because of the new members and maybe members that joined in the beginning but now are MIA. But, for the benefit of your diet, just give it your all. That way your body will do more for you next week when we know for sure your weight will really count. Ok? By Sunday, we will know who was really serious about doing the challenge. Not by the weight, but by simply emailing in. I don\'t know about ya\'ll (I\'m Texan), but I only want serious people on our team. I\'m not going to all this trouble for someone who is not serious about losing some weight and getting healthier!

Hey Jane, when I said I\'m a Texan, I didn\'t mean we have more drive. I meant we use the word \"Ya\'ll\"!

Jane\'s a firecracker! Ya\'ll better watch her! She may be the ultimate Hottie!

I am from Tennessee and Ya\'ll is a perfectly good word! I use it all the time. I know the Hotties are serious about this challange.
It is what keeps me giving my all during my workouts and my helps me control my snack choices.
Wonder Woman,
I did a sneek peek weigh-in and let me tell you it is on the good side. I hope it will be even better by Sunday.

This is great, WW.....this is the new forum I was talking about!
So today, I did another double TurboJam workout until I couldn\'t punch or lift my arms anymore (about 45 minutes), had a little rest, did another 30 minutes of my 1 minute target training DVD, power walk my 15 to work, and the 15 back (total 30 minutes walking to the point of out of breath), and did all of my Taekwon-do patters for 15 minutes. ~whew~
Stayed OP all day, had a low fat tiny muffin at work that a girl that is leaving brought for us. I skipped my afternoon snack just in case it wasn\'t as low fat as she said, but I could tell it was. Didn\'t quite get ALL my water in, but still did 6 - 8oz glasses. With the 2 coffees I think I made it though. I used to drink triple cream, triple sugar -- am now drinking double skim milk and 1 sugar.
Feel fantastic bout the weekend.....gonna be my best week yet, and its a good one for it to be!
GO RED GO!!!!!
Great job to ALL of you!! I\'m proud of everyone of you!! Peace Out...

Lennae, I too did a sneak peek and I\'m pleased too. I just hope it stays that way. I thought my TOM was a few days back but it wasn\'t for real I guess so it may come back. Janis and Lennae, you both are doing really, really good. Let\'s hang in there. The weekend is coming and that can be hard for some of us. But, win or lose, we will be thinner than last week!
And too me \"Ya\'ll\" is a good word. But, you get someone from some other state that hears it and they laugh at it. Geeze, it\'s not like I have a horse beside me and I\'m going to feed the pigs while I\'m at it.

Evening all!
I\'m here! I ate well today, got in all my water. I\'m still having trouble getting started in exercising. Like I wrote Wonder Woman, I haven\'t exercised in years and I\'m so heavy, I really don\'t want to have a heart attack. I put in a video last night and did about 20 minutes. I\'ll do it again tonight. My husband and I are going to join a gym this weekend. Hopefully, everything will get easier. :-)
Cindy...GO RED TEAM

Cindy, I am so glad you did that video and that your going to do it again. If you haven\'t exercised in years, then just doing that 20 mins will be good enough to get yourself started in the right direction. Some exercise is better than none. I\'m all for taking it slow if you have to. The more weight you lose, the easier it will be to move up to 25 mins, 30 mins and so forth. You just keep it up. And thanks for checking in. I like that show of commitment.
