Texas Newbie Looking for Buddies

Hello all. I am new to this site. Just started on Monday. I would like to lose about 50lbs. I am looking for some online buddies. I am also looking in to the challenges and am on the 6lbs by Halloween & Thanksgiving Count Down. Any ideas how to join a team for the other challenges?
