Is there room for one more? I think this might be just the motivation I need to start off on the right track

Hi! Thank you for the invite. Let's see.

For yesterday did alright:
B: oatmeal
L: whole wheat turkey lettuce tomate apple slices
D: pasta with some weird sauce husband made

snacks: almonds
two tangerines
fudgesicle

Water intake was okay. Managed a workout in the gym after work.
Goals: To take each day and make the best choices for myself. Not to be too hard on myself and to hold myself accountable.
Would like to lose about 30 pounds.

For today: Sept.2

B: Oatmeal
L: vegie wrap
D: havent had it yet
snack: almonds

On my way to the gym in about twenty minutes. Water intake so so. But will get better after the gym.

About myself? I think I am the oldest one here! You will just keep me motivated right? I am married; two children 24 and 17; boy and girl. Work at a law firm; live in So. California; foster parent to abandoned and abused horses; like to have a good time with others like walking; movies etc.

My goals are too just get in as much each day as I can so that I can look back and feel like I accomplished something whether it was to finish a book I have been reading or get that walk in after dinner or pull the weeds in the garden....

Okay, so I didn't have too bad of a day today either although I still struggle to get my water in. I'll just have to force myself to bring water bottles to work with me!! I had my standard eggs for breakfast and did well for lunch and dinner - lunch: mixed green salad and dinner: chicken and green beans. I have been doing better with the chocolate cravings, but can't seem to go without at least one can of soda a day. I've been allowing myself that because before I started being accountable on this forum, I was drinking much more than that a day!

As for personal information, I am a 35 year old, single woman and live in sunny Buffalo, New York (well, it's sunny for now until the snow arrives). I supervise and manage an alternatives to incarceration and victim services program. So, it keeps me very busy. The most frustrating thing is that I come from a very large family (11 siblings) and they are all thin, with the majority of them being extremely thin. I'm hoping this forum helps me to lose the weight so that I don't always feel like the odd man out in my own family.

So, good luck to us all! I know we can do it!!!!

Girls you are all in the group already so feel at home and let's do this, let's shed those pounds and release that skinny girl inside us

Priscilla, I think you are doing an awesome job, your meals are so good, I am getting some ideas from you already You are not old sweetie, and yes we will support you here. You sound like such an interesting person, writing a book? uhm, that's great. Your Plan is great sweetie, you got an A+ in every item: meals, water, workout, hey I will make you the captain

I am about to start some reading with endocrinology stuff, I was with my little girl the whole day, she is sure full of energy

My Meals were on plan, lunch was a little heavy so now I will just have some fruits and water.
My Workout? nothing yet but as I said I will do it even at 11:30pm jeje

Tiffany, what an interesting job and don't worry about your skinny family cause you will get it too, let's just focus on our goal and keep the healthy and slim road ahead, I am sure we will all get it.

Jeanie, you can start posting your daily report, plese girls do it this way:

BF: .....
S:.......
L:......
S:......
D:......
S:......
Water Intake: ... Ozs/Lts

Ok Bonitas, gotta go now but I will sure get those 30min of shaking my body and booty jeje

There is this mental exercise of repeating your goals many times a day
"I want to fit into a size: 2, 4, 6 ... jeans"
Do it specially when you are hungry and anxious.

Also learn when to say NO!
No, I am not having another portion of this because I want to "LOSE WEIGHT" and this wont help me, and later on I will regret so much I ate this.

I used to do this and it helped me so much, it's just Mental Training. Repeat yourself many times daily what you want and why, eventually your mind will stick to it and you will just work for that. It doesn't hurt to try right?

Have a good night Gang

Hello ladies!

Well, here's a little introduction about myself. I am 22 years old. I am engaged to a wonderful guy named Mike. He just had his last day of school EVER today. He now has a Master's Degree in Electronic Engineering. Very proud of him. I live in Bettendorf, Iowa. I have a cat that means the world to me. I am currently unemployed...trying to find a job.
I am here to lose this horrible weight I have gained. This year has been the worst year of my life. I have been diagnosed with a few health issues/diseases and I want to be able to be on a normal weight instead of the obsese side that I am now. I have Mitral Heart Prolapse and am Lactose Intolerant. I had my Gall Bladder removed too in March of this year.
Today...it was my first day on the Weight Watcher program, and I did GREAT! I am very proud of myself. I have a few points left to use, so I'm going to have a banana for a snack with my Mother. I did not get out to exercise today, felt horrible..so stayed in bed most of the morning and part of the afternoon until my job interview. Of which I will be hearing back tomorrow if I get the job or not...*crosses fingers*
Now here's my run down of what I had today. It's much better than I have eaten in a really long time. *Yay*
Breakfast:
English Muffin w/ Grape Jelly
Weight Watcher Peach Yogurt
and Water
For lunch:
Water
Corn
Bocca Burger-Vegan chicken burger (soy)
and a small container of pudding
For dinner, I went to Panera Bread. You'd be surprised in all the hidden calories they have in their meals! I checked online before going to Panera for dinner and got the Chicken Noodle soup-had only 140 calories vs. the turkey sandwich I had my eye on...which had 560 (12 points for Weight Watchers!!). Oh and of course...more water.
My goal...is to lose this hideous weight I have gained thru the years. I have never been this weight before, and I do not tend to keep it!!! >.< I would love to see myself being 120 by Christmas. I know that's a pretty high goal, but I am sure with the motivation and support from you girls will help a great deal.
I hope that all of you had a great night!!! Take care and talk to you all tomorrow!
WE CAN DO THIS!!!!

Hi everyone! Here's my little intro too

I'm 21 and tired of being tired! I've been pushed around and emotionally beat up by several family members and friends to do something about my weight. I've had problems with it since I was 6 or 7, I've always been very large...but in the last few years I've gained so much I'm almost ashamed to admit it. I went from a size 16 to 26 in four years.

Half way through yesterday (after beating myself up for another fast food lunch) I decided its time for me to do something about it. I'm several states away from before mentioned friends and family now. I'm staying with my father who has never been a part of my life until now and I have more freedom than ever before. It's time -I- take control and stop hiding behind all of the excuses. I've never tried to lose weight before, but I'm serious about doing something now.

Yesterday:
BF: Cereal bar and a can of coke
L: Crunchy chicken burger, med fries, med coke
D: Beef and veggies soup
S: a pear
Water Intake: 2 glasses

I know! I'm beating myself up over the morning and lunch. One of my biggest problems is drinking so much coke. I hate coffee and always tell myself that the caffeine in coke is what wakes me up in the mornings. Today is my first official day treating my body right.

I also tried an old routine I could once do. From 12 to 15 I was in a karate program, warm up was a series of stretches and other things (push ups, jumping jacks, etc.). I managed half way through it and was completely out of breath. I did, however, walk for a good 45 minutes late in the evening.

My goals:
Long term, I want to be comfortable enough with myself to wear a bathing suit to the beach by next summer. Short term, I want to be able to run without stopping every few seconds to breath.

Hi Ladies, my name is Stacy and I live in Maine. I am 38 years old and soon to be 39 at the end of the month! I am married to the most understanding and supportive man. We have 2 children; Cameron, age 8, and Alexis, age 5. I am a high school special ed teacher and I this year I am teaching pre-algebra and algebra. Now that school has started up my life has become extremely busy and I have a hard time making time for myself...there always seems to be something that needs to be done! I am a cub scout leader, PTO treasurer, and chauffeur for my monkeys for piano, dance, and whatever sport is going on. I do well if I wake up at 4:30 and do my exercising around 5am. My problem is that I have difficulty getting myself to bed at night (laundry, bills, etc) and I am turning in around 11:30. Therefore, I am exhausted most of the time! I started losing weight in March and by the end of July I had lost approximately 30lbs, whoo-hoo! I still have at least 20 more to go. I have really slacked in the month of August and would like to get back to actively exercising and eating healthy! I know that be involved with a group like this will help immensely!!
My Report 9/2
BF: Protein Shake
Fruit Salad (fresh pineapple, strawberries, kiwi, and raspberries)

S: 1/2 grapefruit with 1 1/2 tsp sugar
L: Peanut butter and sugar free strawberry jelly sandwich on low
calorie bread, raw Orange pepper cut up, grapes
S: banana
D: spaghetti with meat sauce and small slice of garlic bread

I drank very little water...I am horrible at this. I will try to drink more. Does the 3 pots of coffee I drank count? Lol

Thanks Everyone! Have a Great Day!

Hello everyone, hope you had a good day!

Charytin: I love spicy food as well and add chillies and pepper to everything, so let’s hope it speeds up your metabolism!

Stacy: I tried teaching for a while, and know how life-consuming it is, it must be so hard trying to juggle your kids and husband also! I bet you get enough exercise in general without the extra you do at 4.30 in the morning! Only 20lbs to go, brilliant! And no, I don’t think 3 pots of coffee counts! Ha!

Priscilla: Fitting as much as possible into every day sounds like an excellent philosophy, my nan told me that before she died and now I say yes to everything!

Tiffany: Everyone has to have one indulgence and one can of soda isn’t that bad, I used to eat entire bars of chocolate to myself, but now I’m writing down everything I eat, so I can’t escape it!

Kate: you don’t realise how many calories restaurant food has! The English version of WW has a book available which tells you the points of meals in most restaurants in the UK, which is brilliant! Sounds like you’ve had a rough year, but you can turn it around now, and well done to your fiancé!

Jeanie: Don’t be too hard on yourself over the fast food meal yesterday, we have to learn to forgive ourselves and start again, otherwise we could just end up saying ‘forget the whole thing, pass the choccy!’ And well done for managing all that exercise yesterday!

Today’s report:

BF: Clementine and a banana, water
L: Jacket potato with baked beans and salad, coke zero
D: Ham salad with a small lump of cheese, yum!
S: Low fat chocolate mousse, 40cal hot chocolate
Water Intake: 2 Lts
No snacks because I worked all day, hurrah!
No exercising either, because I cycle the three miles to work, and am quite active in my job anyway! Need to work on toning my arms and tummy though....
This is something I always say to myself when I’m tempted: ‘Nothing tastes as good as thin feels’, (I think it comes from a movie!),
AND I lost another pound today!

Jeanie,
I don't know how to help you but I will give you all the support you need to succeed on this. There is no need to beat yourself up with this, little daily changes will add a big change in your body, it is hard for me too, I need to do so many things for myself, like sweating my ass off and study as never so i can get my MD but with my daughter is hard sometimes to focus entirely on this and I feel like a loser, I know it would be easier without having her but I would never change her for anything, you see, we all have different things that can make it harder but with Determination and Consistency anything is possible sweetie.
Have you though about changing Coke for Diet Coke? or even better Diet Pepsi? it tastes better than coke in the diet version. I am not gonna tell you CUT THE SODAS, just like that cause we have to do small changes and finally I know we will get everything clean but it's piano, piano, little by little.
Have you tried Home Workout DVD's? like the ones from Beachbody.com? they are great, I find it so good, specially Slim in 6, it's really great, just in 1 week my legs are much better they have many others, Hip Hop Abs, Turbo Jam, and there is this different workout DVD I love: ZUMBA zumba.com I love dancing so this is great but the movements make you sweat like you can't imagine and beside you learn some latin movements Jeanie, please anything you need just let us know, we are here to help you.

Girls, even if you had a horrible day, just post it, none of us is a Guru, at least not me we are all here cause we need support to keep going. Please even if your day was full of FAST FOOD or Icecream, please post, I know next day you will do much better, sometimes we just need some break, but please no more than 1 day a week

Kate, you will be a beautiful bride, I have some workout plan if you hit the gym but if not there are some good books for brides with great exercises, a girl I know lost 30Lbs in 4 months and was so toned for her wedding, nobody recognized her jeje and so you will be very beautiful too Work hard sweetie.

Stacy, you are doing a great job I need to be very organized to have everything in control, as I should do my workout in the morning, but sometimes my little girl wakes up at 4am so then my day is messed up. I guess we just have to keep trying and whatever is the case just try to fit our weight loss plan in our daily schedule. You are doing great sweetie, 30Lbs off, is just great!!!

TODAY SO FAR:
BF:
My T4 (thyroid problems ) then a yogurt
S: o
Lunch: ok, some of you must feel this is gross but I like Liver and I haven't had it for years, last week I bought it at the store cause it's never there, so today I cooked Liver Stew with onions and tomatoes, it was so good, even my little girl was sucking her fingers I had a potato and a Diet Crush (Yes I love sodas too, but only diets and diet green tea also, my favorite) I feel like if I cheated big time
S:
D:
For the rest of the day will just eat fruits and veggs.

*** No carbs after 9pm please, that's the rule cause it entirely converts to adipose storage.

Thank you girls, I see you are starting to support each other, that is the main goal of this Diet Buddy Support.

I didn't do my workout yesterday I got a new study partner so we were planning our study schedule and finished so late so I failed yesterday

I need to do a better schedule to fit everything in there.

I hope you girls are really sweating it
