A few diet tips
These are a few tips I have learned that I wanted to share with all of you:
1) Eat every 3 hours (not a large meal) because your body metabolism starts to slow down after 3 hours, and needs something to burn.* This is why people who don't eat often enough don't lose weight.* From what I*have read, eat something small, like a peice of fruit, or a handful of nuts/raisins, something healthy, in between meals, and 3 hours after your last meal.* I time myself now from when I've eaten last.* It does help.*
2) Cut your portion size in half.* I started doing this - eating half of what I would normally eat - and this also helps.*
3) Limit carbs - I wouldn't do away with them completely but limit and make sure to eat whole grains.
4) Get enough sleep.* Your body burns calories while you sleep and you will have more energy and feel better if you get enough rest.* Then you'll be able to exercise.
5) We all know this one.* Drink lots of water. Im guilty of not drinking enough water myself but I have been trying to keep water bottles in the fridge and replacing my soda (diet) with water when I go in to get a drink.
