Hello everyone,
not really sleeping worth a lick so i'd thought I'd start off. Had to go off to sears to get a skirt to wear to the funeral, the one I had didnt fit.
Anyhow, got back to a message by mom, saying that she told my aunt we couldnt go since I couldnt get time off. Definitely will get 1 day bereavment since he is my uncle(dad's brother). I told her to call back and say that we'll come, if mom chickens out I will still go.Will try to see if I can take a personal day off the next day. would be 7hrs round trip drive one day, starting to drive @ 5am to try to make the mass by 9 on Tuesday. we'll see since the days are really closed due to people taking off due to the holiday week. Fingers crossed. Also need to check w/ someone to verify where and when, mom was a bit confused when everything was happening.

Just had to vent, need to try to get @ least a couple hrs sleep under my belt.

Morning Lizzy...so sorry about your loss and the confusion surrounding it...I hope you are able to get the personal day off...where I work is usually pretty good about it--when my aunt passed several Christmases ago (the one that was like my grandmother), they actually gave me 3 days off bereavement. Woke up early this morning for some strange reason and then realized it was 20 min before DS was suppose to leave for work and no sounds in the house--he was still asleep--forgot to set his clock...needless to say after he got up, scurried around, fixed his drinks, lunch, etc and got out the door with breakfast in hand he is still going to be about 10-15 min late. Not good! He did tell me he is at a different job site this week and a laid back foreman that has been late 3 days this week so hopefully he will make it in before the foreman does. I think the heat is taking it toll on him as far as sleeping so deeply at night--he is pooped out when he gets in at 4:30.

DD has some volunteer work today and tommorrow @ a 4H day camp so she is heading into town with me. Was hoping she could stay with b/f after the camp gets out @ 2 but he is scheduled to work today and tommorrow...heard her tell him last night she may just walk down to the store and sit with him awhile if the other employee doesn't mind--gets her out of my hair and I really don't think it will be a problem--his boss is on vacation.

Forgot to mention earlier this week that w/i was the same..which was good considering my crazy weekend!!!

Xan..cool about the library...I use to take my kids to a reading hour each week when they were young.

Allison..you need to check into some stuff for Tyler..at least it would give him something to do and give you a couple of hours off. Our county 4H office has several day camps for pre-schoolers and they are very reasonable! Plus they focus on things like farm animals, etc..the one DD is helping with this week is a Cowabungo Day Camp where kids learn all about cows and they tour a dairy farm. She is also helping later in the summer with the Sewing Class they offer--she is too old now to attend so she is doing the teen leader volunteer work.

Em..thanks for the email!!!!! You are right about b/f--he would be perfectly content with no makeup and no hair straightening, just completely natural which is totally awesome if you ask me.

Oh forgot to mention we got rain again yesterday!!! Only about 2/10ths but it is amazing to see how everything is greening back up and growing again. DH said the crops are making a comeback!!!!

Terry- good thing you were up and got DS out the door. thank goodness you're getting rain now. I gotta tell you the family dynamics for my family is something else!!! just when I was having a good week mental health wise.

Hi! Spent some time yesterday cleaning the danger zone that is Chy's room! LOL! Gotta finish today! Went to the gym yesterday and took Holly to the kids room and did a good workout! then we went swimming afterwards!

Got errands to do today and then tonight is the circus with holly and my sister and bil! Should be fun for her, although I'm dreading it! LOL!

Hey girls..not enough sleep for me and I have that blah feeling....My DS ended up in our bed and I never sleep well when that occurs! Ugh! I woke up early and wrote an essay and am finished with school work for the week! Family arrived last night for the wedding so today we will be heading downtown to do touristy things...

Terry- You are right! I really need to check into summer programs for Tyler. The camps Kimberly is helping with sound fun!

Barb- Have fun at the Circus. The circus is here over the 4th of July but we will be at my Dad's in D.C. Maybe next year...I could do with out buy Tyler saw the commercial on TV and wants to go!

Morning girls, we are in the land of rain too. We got a few thunderstorms roll in last night. We need about 10 of those days strung together to get out of this fire threat. Not that I do, but in NM, if you are "caught" smoking outside in non-designated areas right now you face a $511 fine for the first offense. I haven't heard of them enforcing it here, but they sure were in Ruidoso this past weekend. I even saw a shopkeeper go out and tell someone sitting in her car with the door open that she was about to call the police!
Had WI last night and lost 1 lb. I'll take considering all we did this past weekend. Journaling really helped keep me in check, otherwise it would have been a bad, bad WI. Nothing much to do today, PTL. Will probably let the kids get swim time early since storms are supposed to come in again this PM.

Lizzy: So glad you are getting the two days. That's awful about them not calling your cousin. I am sure she appreciated you. So sorry about this!

Terry: He needs to be so careful during the heat. I hope he's drinking lots of water! Good job on your WI!!!
