Hello everyone,
Off to mom's after work today, Oh joy we'll see what the weekend brings. Having a relative w/ dementia is never boring. WI was the same this week. Still have 7 lbs to go to lose from the vacation last month. Oh well slow and steady wins the race.

Well Kevin left for Ohio and will hopefully be back by Sunday. Like I had said yesterday, Devan is going through something and I know that we are not getting all of the details because let's face it, teenagers will not tell all, BUT he has got to open up about everything if we are going to help him. The jist of it is his mom has been keeping the kids tucked away on that little compound that they live on and is severely bitching about the kids doing anything but church related functions. This is a rather new turn of events...only the course of about 6 months. In addition, she always has been a self centered selfish biotch and apparently Dev is seeing her for what she truly is. BUT (as a mother I have to say this) he is still her mother. BUT I am married to his father and by far Kevin is the most caring loving father I have ever seen in my life. I know at 14 I was going through stuff at my house too and I can still feel the sting from when my father told me I could not live with him and his wife.......I would NEVER EVER want any of our kids to feel hurt like that. Anyway, that is the issue going on at the moment that we need to act on....he is trying to stay away from his mom's house like crazy at the moment and got in trouble again last night for it, so we have to figure something out fast before big trouble happens.

On the food front, I did good except for some liquid calories last night. LOL

Morning girlies!!! Got a late start from home (seems to be a pattern I am developing!)...somehow the clock got turned off and I just happen to wake up on my own over an hour later...UGGG!!!! Got a busy, busy weekend ahead...probably needed that hour this morning. Have a huge horse show @ our saddle club tommorrow that we have to work and be there by 2. Will go way up in the night. DD's b/f will be at the house after about 12:30 tommorrow through Sunday. My parents are at the beach and the kids all want to go there Sunday morning for the day. Should prove interesting!!!!!

My Mom is driving over from Houston this morning so I have an assignment to get done and a house to clean before she gets here! EEK! Not to mention I need to go to kickboxing this morning and work off those 3 beers I drank at the ball park last night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My Mom is bringing over her new Medittereanean cookbook and wants to try a few recipes this weekend. Should be fun! Have a great weekend to all!

Morning everyone.
Cooling down today, only 113 I should be out weeding the front, but it's already 90 and I'm tired. Today I'm working until 11 and then hitting the pool with ds and some friends. I like it when the other kids come, that means me on a chair under the umbrella with a book. I will not be taking my laptop in this heat. Need to give the dog a bath today, she stinks. Other than that it is housecleaning and home projects all weekend long. I leave 2 weeks from tomorrow for the next trip, and I'll bringing my mom, my sis and nephew home with us for a few days afterwards, so I'm thinking the bathroom needs to be fully functional by then, huh.

Lizzy-{{hugs}} try to have a good weekend. Keep doing what you're doing, those 7 lbs will leave you.

Jen-that really sucks for Devan. I was just having a similar conversation with a friend. Her ex-dh has a live in that is just not a nice person, and her son has asked her if they can go back to court to change the custody arrangement. I know that Kevin is scared to death of court, but he shouldn't be. The past is the past. He has a nice stable home for Devan, and he's at the age where the judge will listen to what he has to say. Sounds like mom is getting a little freaky.

Allison-have a great time with mom. Wish mine was close enough to drive out for the weekend.

Okey dokey, must go now and work. Ds is already awake.

Hey girls, Faith and I slept in today! WOOHOO! The wind howled all night long and it's overcast but still supposed to be wicked hot... although not 113!!! Sue, take cover and have a great time at the pool!
I have to get packed today for our trip this weekend. Brett also comes home today from a trip to the same place. Not much else going on. I was having way to many "cravings" last night, but I didn't give in and went to bed with one point left. I even made Billy and Faith take a walk with me last night just to get away from the kitchen! LOL

Jodi: I do remember you from BCB. Hope all is well with you. Hope you love this board as much as we do!

Jen: Poor Dev, I know everything will work out though. You and Kevin will make sure of it. Have a great weekend!

Allison, I am glad you are confident in me! LOL Really, I am too. I couldn't sleep in at the beginning of the summer for any amount of money... but man I didn't have a problem today. Must've been those little boys I had yesterday! LOL

Back for check-in....DS had to head back to work today and he called @ 11:45 and they were finished for the day...if you wanted to keep working, it was overtime but he said he wanted the 1/2 day off...told him that was how Fridays were..he said it was awesome!!! I am so jealous..wish my Friday was like that..LOL!!! DD & DH are together today bonding..I guess they are still making up from earlier in the week...she had a blast yesterday with her b/f and his mom..they spent the afternoon at the river jumping out of trees into the water and swinging on homemade tree swings--man is that not the life???? Summertime fun!!!!

Allison...have a great weekend with your mom!!!! And I only wish the beach trip was for the weekend and not just the day--these darn horse shows are getting in the way of my recreational time.

Sue..have a good time at the pool..I am jealous!!!! We have actually cooled down temp-wise into the lower 90s this week but the humidity is HORRID!!!!

I shot an email off to Sarah this morning--noticed she has been MIA for a while now..anybody heard from her?

Hey girls... quick check in for me. We finally have some decent weather here. The kids are driving me crazy waiting for me to go to the pool. So, I do not think they will wait for me to be on the computer long. But, I wanted to jump on and wish you all a great weekend. No big plans here. Jason gets home this evening. My mom and step-dad are coming thru town, but they are staying with my sis. We will have dinner with them tomorrow night, but luckily it will be at her house so I don't have to clean. Got my third p90x workout in this morning - 50 min. of shoulders and arms then 15 min of abs! It sure did show me how much work my core needs. Okay, off to the pool.
