Hello everyone,
a bit of a quickie for me, just came back from bowling. had a good time ....but.... First of all the shuttle didnt wait for me, so I had to drive up, luckily I knew where the place was. 2nd my own bowling shoes fell apart on me!!! I just can't win.

story on the hairy legs. I had real hairy legs, mom wouldnt let me shave or nair, so every time we went to the beach I wore long knee high gym socks and didn't go in the water. Also got teased mercilessly. Finally in 9th grade I was allowed to nair. Further on I was allowed to shave. gotta love my mom.

Liz-we used to do Mayfair when we lived in State College, we would come out and all the kids would get together and go. It was always really hot...at least what we thought was really hot b4 moving here, lol. I'm flying into Philly on the 31st, spending a few days with mom and sis, and then dh flies in on the 5th, we have a wedding at Woodloch Pines (Lake Wallenpaupack area) that weekend. Sort of a whirlwind trip for us. I was thinking I might take ds to wildwater kingdom one day, and skip dorney.. it's so close to my mom, and we used to drive right past it on the way there, and he's always wanted to go. We'll see. Funds are tight this trip, so it may have to wait til next time.

Barb-you gots to be careful in that heat. Did you hear about the guy who got attacked by a swarm of bees on South Mountain. He's in critical condition at Banner. Yikes.

Anna-pineapple mango was yum.

Nik-woohoo on the w/i. I hope the WW scale gives you even better. Good work.

Lizzy-you need a spa weekend or something. Gotta make sure that negativity didn't follow you home. Sorry about the bowling shoes...I know those aren't cheap.

Thanks for the good thoughts for my friend. We've been mostly worried about the pets. She's got an older dog, and a couple of cats. It just occurred to someone today that they could rent a portable swamp cooler. It never occurred to me you could do that. All the pets immediately laid in front of it as soon as it was on, lol. New AC will be installed on thursday, so she should be cool again. Broke, but cool. Ironically, we'll be back to the mid 80's by then Life is like that.

Sue~ I cancelled out on tomorrows hike! Don't want to get heat stroke! I've been in weather like this before so I know what to expect! I did see the bee story. My mom is deathly afraid of bees so that detered her from going tomorrow also! Glad your friend is getting air!
