went out to eat again last night @ damon's. Not bad ribs.
Food hasn't been great but doing the best I can under the circumstances. Been sitting in the pool while I can. but really no color though.
Going to Sweet Tomatos/souplantation tonight. Yippee. Just wish we had one up by us.
Getting that exercise everyday. Finally got about 8 hrs sleep last night.

Morning everyone,

I haven't been here in so long I have no CLUE what is up with everyone's life. So, you'll have to fill me in on any major events b/c it will take me way to long to catch up

Life is good here (or at least that's what I keep telling myself on a daily basis). Dad continues to struggle and have issues. I had him back in Indy for about 3 weeks and now he's back in Florida for a week of doctor's appts. We're getting a third opinion as his two cardiologists can't seem to agree on the next step and apparently communication is not something they're good at. Honestly, as a referral vet for animals, I did more communicating with my referring veterinarians than these doctors do for people!

Work is work. Nice people, hate the commute, can't stand all the travel...but it pays the bills ya know? Speaking of bills, our savings just got chewed up this weekend by 2 emergency equine vet calls and then my old laptop finally bit the dust on Saturday night. ARGH! Terry - Tongo tried to colic on Friday night. We had a lot of walking in the rain around the pasture, alot of mineral oil, and some banamine but we made it through. She felt so much better on Saturday that she tried to yank my arm off when I was trying to give her her meds. We glared at each other across the stall and I told her I liked her better sick! LOL!

Terry - finally got a quote for the barn.. I think I need some more quotes and perhaps to have a reality check. It's the price of a small mortgage! They want 40 K to build a 48X64 foot pole building with a wall down the middle (so Jim's side would be 30X24..concrete for all his junk) and then on the other side would be 4 stalls, a tack room, office, and wash stall/treatment area. Well, even when we told them not to finish the inside of the equine side (we'd put our own stalls in and then do the rooms as we could afford to), by the time you ran water, excavated, etc. it was like 70K!!! Holy crap! So, we're getting some other quotes and looking at other options. We've been working on fencing the back fields. Would love to do vinyl fencing in the front, but that's $$$$$ too! Do you guys use wood, farm fence, or vinyl?

Ok kids, I must get a move on! I promise I will try and get here more often. Things on the weight loss front are at a stall. Not moving up or down from 180, but hating it all the same.

Lizzy sounds like fun. We stayed home and had a small fish fry. My son had a friend over most of the weekend and so they fished most of the weekend.
I'll be hitting the gym hard this week. I didn't find much time for it last week so i'm going to have to work very hard this week.

I'm not doing bad on my eating but not that Great either. I need to start focusing a little more and make a few better choices. Ok girls I must get ready to go! Hugs to you all! Have a Great Monday!

You snuck in Lori! Good to see you here. Doctors don't communicate because they might not get their fair share of the money. UGH! Sounds like you could build a house for what they want you to pay for a barn! Anyways don't give up on the weight loss. You can do this just shake it up a bit. Take care and get in here more often!

Hey Lori!!! Been missing ya! What are they saying about your dad?? My dad has had stents put in etc and my MIL went through the same thing back in Feb. As for the barn quote, holy COW!!! but I can see that with the inflation and the price of building materials skyrocketing. We had a guy building a 1500 sq ft house the other day come in with a $170,000 quote..way over what it will even appraise for but they claim the materials are soooo high. Ugg on the colic--been there and done that! Glad Tongo got through it!! We have a visiting horse (been here for almost a month)--an older barrel horse that needed some major tlc and DD has done wonders..now DH is telling me that it is going to be hard to send it back to its owner and they are wanting to sell her anyway..hmmm wonder what he is getting at??? Bad part is she ran her in a show a couple of weeks ago and ran a 16 on her..we were just sitting there with our mouths gaped open. Taking her again this weekend and next weekend and then I guess we will make a definite decision--he told DH a price but we thought he was a little too high considering she is pushing 20 and we have been nursing her back to health for the past 4-6 weeks FREE for him. Hoping he is going to reconsider when he looks at her next weekend and sees what DD has done--who knows though--may cause price to go up!!! We have steel posts with the rope fence in front of our house and then at my in-laws we have T-posts with the rop fence. It was affordable! Now my perfect pasture would be the white wooden fence but that is for another lifetime..LOL!!!!

Morning all!
Having some coffee and chekcing in wiith you guys! Had a relaxing day yesterday although DH was sick and sneezy all day long! LOL! Got some stuff from Holly that she made from school, thank goodness for that or I wouldn't have got anything! LOL! Sheesh!
This morning I'm going to walk at the lake with my mom. She has been doing about 6 miles up there. I'm just going to do 2! Gotta see if my mp3 is charged, don't want to hear any crazy conversations today!
Holly and I went to the gym last night to swim but the lap lanes weren't open, bummer. I just did some jogging in the pool and ouch my calves feel it today!

Ok better get the kids up!

Barb...nope..thank goodness!!! DD was on the phone for over an hour last night though...hmmmmm!!!!

Yipes! Chy went over to T's house to swim on Saturday night! I made sure his parents were going to be home! She had fun! Didn't see him yesterday! It was my day! LOL!

Ok back! Went and did 3 miles with my mom and took a shower and now going to work for a bit. I'm meeting two moms from PTA to work on some stuff. Have to be careful of what I eat there, I wonder if it's on Dotti's? I better go check!
