Hello eveyrone,
survived the wedding. The country club was decorated sooo beautiful. Mom did a lot of live flowers. I'll send out pix w/in the next few weeks. Now only a few of us were on the groom's side. Big bruhaha about that. When we got in, we were told the rest of our party(sis, I and mom and their godmother sat in front. The rest were told they had to sit on the opposite side and not behind us. That got straightened out before the ceremony. When we were helping to decorate in the morning, I saw our table for the reception was right next to the head table. When we got to the ceremony, it was switched to all the way across the room!!! OOOH a lot of our family/friends were really pissed and may boycott the brunch this morning. One of the family members accused a member of the bride's family of switching the table all nite. My new niece and nephew came over to appologize and my sister as well. Just wish the mother of the bride did.
Great time otherwise. Did well w/ food.
Now gotta go take a walk. lots of red light food @ the brunch today

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Mother's Day ladies.
Not much going on around here today. Lazy day for me. That's what I wanted for Mother's Day. Long day yesterday, went to a 50th b'day party for my friends mom last night. Before the party something completely wacky happened with her car and it pinned her mother in law to the garage. She's got a broken wrist and needs surgery. I rounded up her kids while she was at the ER and took them to the party, but I didn't get home until after midnight. Tired. At least I slept in til almost 10. Ds and dh are still asleep, lol. Might do some work in the garden if I feel like it. And maybe take a bike ride to a park with ds.

Lizzy-glad the wedding went well. Too bad about the family angst. I've never bee to a wedding where there wasn't at least some. I highly doubt anyone will follow through with boycotting the brunch. At least I hope they don't. Enjoy your walk

Hope everyone's mom's day was ok.
The people in question did go to the brunch but briefly. My nephew and his wife( so weird for me to type that) are on the cruise ship as we speak, 7 day cruise to puerto rico.
We gotta go get the rest of the decorations from the club tomorrow. Just trying to savor the remaining time. we leave on Tues.

Evening girls...had a great mothers' day for the most part..was up and down from around 4:30 until 9 with the storm system that blew itself crazy self in...then we slept until 10:30 (I NEVER DO THAT!), went to my mom's for lunch, my in-laws for a visit this afternoon and then the kids & DH surprised me by ordering pizza from town and while the kids were gone, DH & I rode the 4 wheeler for a while (long enough for the kids to get back home) and when I got back, I had 3 hanging baskets on the front, a new welcome mat and a t-fal frying pan..WOO HOO!!!! I have never racked up so good!!!

We have a super busy week this week--DS has the dance recital and that takes up 3 nights, state playoffs for baseball are Wed night and the kids want to be at that and DD has practice after school starting Tues for JV tryouts not to mention DD has a dentist appnt and DS has an appnt as well to squeeze in. The final countdown has started with school so they are squeezing it all in--DD has her exit exam tommorrow for Alegebra..if she can pass it, she earns her 1st h/s credit before she leaves the m/s.
